Looks like I'm going to be going to 'Murica for the first time on Sunday. Not really for any reason other than to get another passport stamp, but I plan on making a dashcam video out of it.
I'm going from Vancouver to just south of Bellingham. There's a road called Chuckanut Drive that's listed as a scenic drive on the Bellingham website, so I'm just going to go there then come back.
Any batman fans here? I'm not one, but I went to the place where Wayne Manor was filmed in The Dark Knight Rises. I spent lots of time here when I was small because I always used to go to my Grandparents house, in Wollaton. Wayne Manor was filmed at Wollaton Hall.
Never been, didn't even know it was there, only been to Nottingham once, for game city in 2015. I enjoyed visiting the National Video Game Arcade. Lovely city as well, the trams are awesome Apparently its only £7.60($9.50) return to get there on the train from where I am, not bad at all really, should probably head back and give the place a proper explore. Much better than the £50 ($62.50) it takes to get to London and back on the same day.
National Videogame Arcade was the first place I ever went in proper VR They were a bit dumb having UHD TVs connected to last gen consoles in the café
I guess they are planning to keep the TV's for a couple years though, so the 4k will likely come in handy. Plus 4k TV's are not too expensive these days anyway. At least they aren't keeping them permanently connected to ZX Spectrum's
All of the Wiis they have in the Café are running games from the USB port. I guess it is a good way to future-proof their displays though. The computers they have aren't too good though. Some Acer Predator with a low-end 4th gen i5 and GTX 745 graphics. I know this because they had the sticker on the side
I've been to Bellingham so many times back in the day when the exchange rate was good and my mom would drag me out there for shopping... But also many times to go skiing at Mt. Baker. I've also been on Chuckanut Drive before (wasn't driving), and it's a really nice road, rather narrow in many places though. Make sure you go when there isn't much traffic.
Is it bad that tonight I got so tired while I was on the computer that I completely zoned out and forget I had music playing in the background?
Just learned I'm making $90 tonight - $75 for three Haas Automation cars and $15 for a Mac Tonight car, all on iRacing.
