Roundabouts are cool... Especially at busier times. Just look at all of the little cars merging around lanes, very satisfying. If only cities skylines simulated them properly.
Y'know that fizzing sensation James May always talks about? In all seriousness, roundabouts are awesome for traffic flow, and you're actually one of the few people I've seen make them properly (rather than just four roads connected to a circle). As for the simulation, this mod, if you don't already have it, will give you pretty much everything you need, like priority signs and lane usage.
Rolled up in the vic on some guy smoking a bowl in his car on a dead end street last night. I'm very sorry, unknown man. I really, really hate doing that.
I used to use Traffic++ but that was pretty much lag central on larger cities. So these days I play mostly vanilla using: "Move It!" to allow me to place roads where I want them as opposed to where the game wants them "auto line color" automatically gives each bus/ subway line a different colour which is very nice Unlock all and a European buildings unlocker to get both building sets no matter the map theme "Building Themes" to allow me to set US or EU themes per district "Precision Engineering" to allow for angle snap and some other niceties. "Network extensions project" for some extra roads Some parking lots so that I can make cities that are not entirely buildings "Traffic Report tool" because its really useful for seeing where traffic is going "Unlimited Trees mod", because with enough trees you can make anything look good in this game xD
On the topic of Cities: Skylines, anyone tried the Metro Overhaul Mod? It looks really neat, but I never got it working. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=816260433
Damnit. I clicked the "trolls on the forums" thread, and got a 404. Reload the page and it's gone. 1 SECOND OFF! Thank you Google webcache
I have it, but haven't used it for a while. I don't really remember what's in it, but I know it makes elevated networks much easier to make.
Why do the devs keep deleting threads? Are there things they don't want us talking about? I don't understand.
The fantastic 4 are banned :/ Dunkleosteus, modem, narwhal, and b727theairliner. --- Post updated --- So this thread isn't a sticky thread yet? OK. But, this is the 1500th page...
Welp, the oven just tripped the circuit breaker and won't turn back on again... Thankfully I didn't have any food in it at the time, shame about the flatmates Gonna wait a while so it can cool and see if it turns on later or tomorrow.
The new format is awful though. Smokey Yunick's view on NASCAR still seems pretty accurate. It's always been too much about feeding the France family's bank account and too little about making it for the fans.
I'm to lazy to change threads, so I'll ask this here: Why does Blender take so long to render an image? My GPU could render it (like in a video game) in 1/60 or less of a second. I know the CPU does it, but why? What is the benefit of it being the slower-rendering CPU?
