Yeah, his music is featured in almost all of the BeamNG vehicle/map trailers. As well as his own personal project trailers for RoR and such.

Realised at 2:00am that sleep wasn't happening. I was about to make a joke about a mental fortune cookie, but the amount of sense it made turned out to be a pretty good indicator of how tired I am.

So, I went to bed about an hour ago, slept for 20 minutes, then somehow got out of bed and into the shower on 90% autopilot, where I woke up in the middle of a messed up dream about Mitsubishi kei vans and spacesuits, feeling nauseous and with only the vaguest of notions as to how I got there, and with no idea what time it was (thought it was evening). Note to self: weird things happen when you have four cups of tea, a bowl of Lucky Charms, and no sleep.

Oh, and Adam Savage was there too. Also, in hindsight, I think I woke up in the shower thinking I was a Mitsubishi van for a non-insignificant amount of time.

I did a digital drawing thingy...
    Aliens.png
Created in Art Rage, took about 30 mins (of which I should have spent sleeping). Started as random squiggles on a page, then realised one looked kinda like a UFO. Went from there...

I find digital drawing very difficult compared to traditional (which I just suck), there is mostly two directions I can draw with some precision and for some reason with digital drawing tablet those directions seem to be even narrower in angle.

I like from Clip Studio Paint which I bought quite some time ago, as I can rotate paper in it quite easily, but as I'm not any good even with pencil, it gets little use, digital drawing seems to have steeper learning curve than traditional.

Great thing in CSP is that you can do vector stuff in it, which is so much easier to get lines where you want them, of course it does not help my drawing abilities much still.

Might get a scanner some day, so I could do pencil drawing and work that to digital vector drawing bit easier.

I agree that there is a steeper learning curve, especially if you already have some experience with traditional media going in. I find it very difficult to give a sense of depth and texture, and I'm currently working hard to overcome the plasticky look that often results. Even still, I don't know if I could ever go back. Having the ability to copy and paste things like wheels, cut and move things instead of erasing and starting over, and the use of layers are things I will never take for granted.

Art Rage is kinda nice. I am using an old version that came free with a graphics tablet. It also allows you to rotate the paper and so on and does mixed media type things. Personally prefer to draw by hand (not that I do it often) since I find it easier.

However, layers and undo are very nice.
