Well, the map in GTA5 is the biggest one yet. I would love to have GTA 4's mechanics and online with GTA 5's setting and performance.
Big, but it lacks depth. There are no massive easter eggs like the heart of the city. There are less interiors. And most of it feels empty. GTA IV's map was done far better.
Have fun man that's a classic right there. That game and its predecessor played a large role in me getting into car culture itself as opposed to just liking cars. That game did for me what the fast and furious did for the world. I can tell you gta4's liberty city got the vibe of new York city down pretty much perfectly. Dukes looks so much like queens its impressive. Hardware again ruined the fun as queens itself is MUCH larger than all of liberty city combined, but from an art perspective there is still no one that does it like rockstar.
The PS3 and X360 could have a map the size of a small state (AKA The Crew), but we know how unfinished it was originally. To make it look good, you needed the Wild Run expansion, which was convieniently only on Next-Gen

I just returned playing it last week. I found my original disk in the basement. It's a blast and brings back good ol' memories
