I'm just gonna wait a couple of days and see if the problem persists.

WD greens are a bit icky and DirectX9 hates the 780Ti for some reason, apart from that it seems cool. Dunno much about the 5th gen intels yet though.

A raspberry pi would probably be a good upgrade from that :p
But yeah its nice, the hard drive is just a little low end (its an eco(hence green) drive). The 780ti is really awesome, just BeamNG doesn't like it.
    tldr:
Start looking at pre built systems spec sheets, copy them, find out the real cost, change anything undesirable, then build it yourself.

Fixed my GPU's daily BSOD issues. (gigabyte gtx560ti soc [1ghz])
I decided to trial and error using a game that i know bsod's every 30 mins or so and played with driver settings. The game no longer crashes. So i applied it globally and my system hasn't crashed in the past 5 days at all because of that.
Feeling much happier with my PC now that it seems to be somewhat reliable. In case anyone else is having the issue compare your settings against mine and adjust as necessary and see if it helps you out.

I have definitely not figured out anything about getting myself back online...

btw, The gtx 780ti is a really awesome card, it just has issues with BeamNG. Maybe they will get fixed, maybe not. Hopefully they do.

Heck yes. The 780ti and i7 would destroy your current rig. I honestly don't understand what TechnicolorDalek is on about. That PC you entered to win is an absolute beast.

wd green hard drives are a little slow, but with the ssd it shouldn't be an issue.

To be honest other than that it is super nice. hard drives are cheap anyway so if you dont like it you can replace it for less than $100 for something badass.

So yeah, its sweet. The brand new cpu is lightning fast, people are reporting that their production sample ram overclocks like a boss too. So if they haven't been cherry picked that's cool. X99 seems like an awesome platform to choose.

    Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Yes. 1000 times better.

How do you get in that contest anyway? It seems... Interesting.
I wouldn't hype up too much though, the chance of winning is small.

It seems the 780Ti doesn't perform well on DirectX 9 for some reason. It's an absolute beast for other games though. And the 5820K is Intel's 3rd best CPU currently (5960X, 5930K are better).
The only bad thing about that PC is the 880 is coming out next month from Gigabyte, and I don't think other manufacturers will take much longer.
And the WD Green drive. It's not good for your e-peen

I have a WD Green 1TB in my PC, and I don't think it's slow, it's just as "slow" as any other HDD. And it's really quiet and cool (~29c) too, I've never even heard it while operating. I've actually ordered another one since my current one is getting kinda full.

It gets 5.9 in Windows Experience Index, AFAIK, this is the highest rating a mechanical HDD can get in WEI, and that's a good rating.
