I had to run Avast, Malwarebytes, AdwCleaner, and Hitman Pro, and I had to do a full Firefox reset, but I think I fixed it.

I don't even understand how people end up with their computers getting that badly messed up. I can understand that some people may accidentally mess up once every now and again, but to have that much crap... makes me glad I am not a system admin, especially at a company with bring your own device policies in place.

In my defense, I've had this computer since I was like 15. I'm a lot more tech-savvy now, just never got around to cleaning it up :p I didn't really know how bad it was either until this gave me a reason to look.

I am 20 years old, I have had this computer for 6 years. It is still running its original installation of Windows, not once have I needed to do any virus clean up on it. At worst my anti virus has moaned at me over some files, most of which was software that I had written myself and knew was clean (Avast [when I used to run it] really didn't like Visual Studio creating exe files, in the end I had to add an exception for it).

But hey, learning from mistakes is valuable.

I'm the same, I just use windows defender because I rarely download things nowadays. I actually use my old Compaq to download sketchy files, then run a scan on it, then move to my pc if it's clean.

I've never had to do virus cleanup either. All 209 files flagged were from this one piece of adware, and the junk files were just leftovers from old software. I didn't fix it because I didn't know to look.

Cute little Technics SL-PJ1 I bought for spare parts for it's older bigger full size cousin The SL-P2, these CD players are very rare now being from the early 80's and the lasers are unobtainium. It's also nice to have a spare Burr Brown PCM53JC DAC chip. After cleaning the laser lens and cleaning belt that operates laser sled mechanism and lubricating the sled rails it plays fine.

Just heard that @Dunkleosteus got beaned until August 31 for linking Meatspin.fr.

Like, that was really smart of him, wasn't it?

Didn't you used to have porn (even if a more obscure aviation based variety) as your avatar?

I even got banned for a 4-month long porn PM with @Dunkleosteus,and boy, I really deserved it.

But yeah, what were we talking about before bringing this up?

I'm assuming that was porn, am I correct? Seems legit for him to do something like that.

    Well I can't say I'm surprised.

If he keeps this up, he'll probably claim the title of most banned user on this forum.

Except the file size is wrong...
(That's 3 MB, the forums copy is 410 KB)
