Oh god I don't want to imagine that!
I hope the injuries weren't too severe.

The sprained hand ended up being a broken thumb, and the right foot sprain was a tendon that pulled off of a bone, bringing some bone with it.

Sounds painful. I can't imagine how painful that must've felt.

Weather's been interesting recently. I woke up the other day and it looked like there were heavy clouds and that it had rained overnight. Figures it's smog from forest fires in the interior, and the sky is technically clear of clouds. And we get a heat wave too, so temperatures will go up to 34-37C, which is hot for a place with a mild climate.

Hey, It's probably not going anywhere, but I'd like to make a surprise to my father, and find one of his two first car.

The first is a 1964 Simca 1500 GLS "Brun Victoria" (Brown) My Father restaure it with my Grand-father when he was a kid, and used it as his daily driver when he was old enough to drive. Sadly the car consumed too much and he sold it for a newer car. The car was third hands.

    (Not the actual car)

The second is a last gen 2 doors Golf Mk1 GLS black (The one with big rear tailights) Special part : -A stock VW front splitter
    -4 Headlights grills
    -Small Stock VW rear spoiler
    The car was first hand.

    (Not the actual car)

I'll try to find actual pictures of the cars, number plates and aditionnal informations tomorrow.

So... If you have any info or know a similar car... Contact me!

    First things first :
What's your budget for this surprise ? If I were you, I would choose to find one of the two cars according to that.

I'm not looking to buy them back :/ I know it would be could, but we can't really. I'm just looking to find one of them, get pictures, see In what state they are, what have they become you know. Especially the Simca, my grand-father died recently. And I'm sure it would bring a lot of good memories back. With the few informations I gave you, and knowing 90% of the people here aren't French It's more of a dream than a reality. But who knows.

    The number plates might help.
From what I've read, the VIN number could also be useful, but it isn't that easy to find it.
Searching a car seems to be painful, as most of the information is only usable by the police or the préfecture.

Simca had beautiful cars in its line up. The 1500 was on of the biggest cars they had.
The Simca 1100 had a similar style.

The 1100 also existed in a van variant. This gave an idea to Matra (another French brand), which decided to collaborate with Simca : Simca would give Matra Simca 1100 VF2 without the back, and Matra would produce a rear body from fiberglass and polyester to replace that back. This became the Matra Rancho, which can be considered as the first crossover vehicle. Despite its look, it only has FWD, instead of being a true 4x4.

I hope this post was interesting.
