So here's something new... Google Chrome "overwrites" the media control keys on a mac. I discovered this after failing to change the track in itunes. Solution: chrome settings>shortcuts>disable all media hot-keys...
I heard that. It sucks because if you're looking for a problem with another application overriding the media keys, you can never find any help for it. Google only ever seems to show the problem in relation to Chrome. I had a long headache with the whole thing a few months ago, and just gave up and made a music playlist instead
Hearing a prop plane power up in an echoey fjord makes it sound like I'm getting attacked by an army of Uruk-hai.
Always like those older sets, I really regret not getting the large mid 80s Sony Trinitron my grandad had, he ended up dumping it a few years back when clearing before I got a chance to ask about it. This is what I currently have, around a 1997-8 JVC 28", has proper RGB scart so has a sharp picture, is playing up a bit since it blows up with red after about 30 mins but turning it off and on fixes it for good until its powered off. Then I have a 17" portable Panasonic from the late 80s which is in storage now, used it for a year or so for watching movies before I got the JVC. Its basically like a brand new TV. It was only used for watching tapes like 3 times per year so has really low use. Got it from my highschool a couple of years back when it was preparing for closing down. On the downside I'm moving house so I have to lift the 28" JVC again so ill probably end up with a broken back..
Could be signs of the green and blue electron guns failing, that JVC is pretty neat and will probably outlast most modern LCD sets, the 80's where the last of the well made CRT's. CRT's are all fun and games until you have to move one and it gives you a hernia...
I actually found it on a forum post from a few years ago... What I don't get is why it took so long to override my media keys...
Not sure, it has some really faint retrace lines visible at all times then when the red begins to fade in they get more noticeable and if you leave it for long enough it'll eventually go solid bright red. it even shut off completely once after it did that. Could just be leaky caps or something but haven't got around to checking The 80s sets are definitely of better quality for the most part, really only the high end 90s and 2000s models were particularly good quality. Probably would have went with an older set if i could find one but at least the JVC I have would probably be at least mid to high range at the time.
Has anyone experianced any issues with the forums? I haven't been able to access the site for a few hours. I constantly got errors when I tried to load it, like "Connection timed out", "The connection was unexpectedly closed", and "The site didn't give any data". All other websites loaded fine. I have checked Downforeveryoneorjustme.com, and it said it was down.
BeamNG.discord was talking about this for a while. Discord was able to embed stuff from here, and anyone in EU, Asia, Australia could access this. Check with a United Kingdom site designed to check sites. Must've been a regional issue.
The day where Discord had a total meltdown and BeamNG had a regional meltdown. (aka most of the US couldn't access BeamNG for some reason)
hi I was wondering if anyone knew where the UI app that i have seen in screenshots and vids is? the app is two buttons that say "spawn random car" and "spawn random config". I wanted to do a sort of random car challenge but i searched the UI section and it's not there. is it dead or what? if you know where it is please reply. thanks.
Googled 'BeamNG App Spawn Random' and it was the first result: https://www.beamng.com/resources/random-vehicle-config-spawner.635/

Nvidia is going to release a GTX 1070 Ti.... WTF? What's next? A GTX 1081? Their GPU's right now are basically like Windows 7, there are infinite versions of them, each one just a bit better than the last but of curse much more expensive.....
