Re: General discussion chat I actually like the prius better than... Whatever that is. It's still shit of course. Ahh, much better.
Re: General discussion chat Can't play the experimental version of the game, stupid Direct X.. I get a grey flashing game on a secondary monitor then an error message. Any ideas? My error message is: "Failed to initialise Direct3D Make sure you have DirectX 9 installed and are running a graphics card that supports pixel shader 1.1" I've made sure I have Direct X 9 installed, ran it as admin, and have the latest graphics drivers.
Re: General discussion chat My GPU just got delivered! I am gonna install it in a few seconds now. The timing of the arrival is awesome! (as the devs released the experimental version of BNG on steam today, and East Coast is pretty FPS intensive) You guys do not know how HAPPY I am!!! I'll inform you when I'm done installing.
Re: General discussion chat The windows phone OS is beautiful in my opinion, its super speedy on low end devices too. The phones are all pretty nice and well built. I loved my lumia 710 back then. But although the UI is great and its a quick OS, it suffers from the same set of problems iOS does for me. Proprietary everything. At the time WP7 didnt support external storage (it now does support SD card), sideloading required a dev account, apps were highly restricted and there wasn't a whole lot of support from 3rd parties (ok, iOS doesnt have that problem). It was cool but I do get along better with android, it may be slower (oh its so slow... /sarcasm) but I can do what I want
Re: General discussion chat So do I. M3 E30 is my second favorite car. (First is 1969 Charger.) Anyway: Aw yiss. Never gotten over 4.8 before and today. It is running.. fairly warm..
Re: General discussion chat Who doesn't? I have a Microsoft dev account anyway. My main reason to get Windows Phone would be making a bunch of apps in C#. I love the Visual Studio feature that lets you drag-and-drop UI components for Windows Phone/Windows Forms apps. Mainly because I hate UI design, and it's even worse if I have to write the code for it and go trial-and-error to see if this is right and that is in the correct place. I've been wanting to make a "remote control" app for a while now. Basically it hosts a server in your phone, a client in a C++ app running in background on a PC connects, and you can control the PC (move the mouse cursor/click, use the keyboard, draw on the screen etc.). Only problem is I don't have a Windows Phone and I'm too lazy to learn Java, then networking in Java. - - - Updated - - - covet.rar
Re: General discussion chat Hey an update! time to come out of hibernation Anyone know what the little town in East Coast USA is called? Beamsberg, Beamville?
Re: General discussion chat I tested out my video card playing some ArmA 3. I put the settings to ultra and the screen freaked out, with colors all over the place and it looked distorted a little maybe. I tried Battlefield 3, and it crashed almost as soon as I got to the lobby. I tried War Thunder too, but then it crashed, giving me an error about DirectX. Can somebody help me? My specs are in my signature. Oh, and I have a 350w power supply (I think it's enough, correct me if I'm wrong).
Re: General discussion chat Honestly me too, I love rally racing. Here's a cool pic of a subie slinging dirt: Also, this dyane.
Re: General discussion chat Yup, it kills my FPS too. I have the same CPU. I'm saving up for a 4670K.
Re: General discussion chat also kills my fps, guess it's new cpu time after new gpu/psu (speaking of which, i wonder how well the new intel extreme edition cpu's that got released recently would handle this stuff)
Re: General discussion chat While the new ones have more cores, they have slower per core performance. A 4790k would be best and it's a lot cheaper.
Re: General discussion chat yeah, guess we'll just have to wait and see (couldn't afford one of the new haswell-e cpu's even if i wanted to)
