Well, it's way too overrated. Might as well play Tony Hawk, which is "kinda" overrated, but for the good reasons... except the Pro Skater 5, augh...

BOII was fun when the community was good, but as soon as the Xbox One port came out, it went downhill very quickly. Now I've moved over to Insurgency on PC which is far more fun and challenging.

Agreed with both of you, yet they still milk it like a lactating dairy cow.

    That picture made me giggle.

Honestly, I probably derped onto an old video without realizing it and thought Fochgate was a recent thing, but still, just because it isn't recent doesn't mean they didn't do it. I thought what I heard was that he'd posted some criticism of how their business model was becoming blatantly pay-to-win and got a copyright strike and kicked off their community-contributor program for his trouble.

BOII multiplayer was fun (and not overrun with cheaters when I got it) with the exception of two things: one, the quickscopers and trickshooters thinking they owned every single FFA and TDM lobby by default (it's incredibly not fun to have people act like you're the problem for trying to play the game correctly and use weapons other than sniper rifles, nor is it fun to get sniper rifled in the face from three feet away before your assault rifle can even get two bullets out), and two, the FREAKING porn emblems everywhere that there was NO WAY TO HIDE without the hypothetical possibility of a hack... which would be illegal to use online. AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGH!

Also, I did get really tired of seeing that chrome-green zombies camo everywhere - or, even worse, the blue-on-black one with the pentagram in it, once it came out. Of course hardly anyone bothered with the old-school Pack-a-Punch camo that actually looked somewhat decent.

I do still occasionally play World at War (PvP, not zombies) but there are so many cheaters everywhere that it's just not worth it. If it weren't illegal to go online with mods, I would have downloaded some and started bricking these people's accounts long ago. Maybe then the legitimate playerbase (or what's left of it) would stop shrinking quite as fast, not that World at War wasn't a masterclass of lazy design and poor playtesting anyway.

*Not trying to defend WG decisions, just saying the facts I remember for anyone interested in a recap*

In May SirFoch uploaded a video of NOTHING but repeating "**** WG" because of two issues with the Chrysler K-cartank. No discussion or anything. Within hours Circonflex uploaded an unrelated video saying some nasty stuff about one of the maps and the CEO's (Victor Kislyi) son. WG EU contributer head Ph3lan was understandably not amused about any of this, but he went about this issue in a really unprofessional way. Both were removed from the CC program, though Circonflex was reinstated after taking down the video and apologizing. Because this started from poor response by Ph3lan and not WG as a whole, things got confusing and different WG EU employees were saying different things, which were all different from WG NA who decided to be a part of this because reasons. Accusations went back and fourth questioning if any WG employees issued a copyright strike on Foch (Foch claimed they did, Ph3lan claimed he didn't). Jingles and PHJ voluntarily left the CC program over this, Jim Sterling and TotalBiscuit and Kotaku got involved, and so on. WG NA and WG EU promised that censorship is not company policy and WG EU issues an apology, including saying Ph3lan overreacted. The Chrysler is to this day officially acknowledged to be broken.

Fochgate happened during a string of poor decisions, including Rubricon update (where blatant P2W mechanics made it as far as the public test server). Rubricon was so bad that Kislyi had to acknowledge it as a total embarrassment and a sign that big changes had to be made in the company.

Staff changes in balancing department have since changed and recently added tanks seem to be attempting to depart from this premium ammo meta. AFAIK they have not given Circonflex trouble for his recent Obj.257 rant, though that video was nothing like Foch's rant.

Bitcoin is a bubble straight from the pit and at this point there is no chance of it not going down in flames. It's worse than the dot-com bubble, worse than the mortgage-lending bubble that caused the 2008 crash. Experts are even saying it's worse than Tulipomania and considering that that little bit of "fun" saw a single bulb of a rare variety go for a literal king's ransom, that's saying a lot.

We now have people buying into Bitcoin not because of any intrinsic value it has, but simply because they think it's going to keep going up. That is page one, chapter one in "how to recognize a bubble".

Theres not much money in buying it now unless you already have multiple $1000s to drop into it to profit on fluctuations, or have held onto it before the price went up.

Most people at this point are buying into cheaper cryptocurrency. The sort of coins that are dirt cheap, like $0.002 where you can drop $100 and stand to make a ton of money if it goes up to even as little as a cent per coin and where you won't be in big trouble if it goes wrong.

Can't wait till it does - maybe I'll be able to find and/or afford another graphics card for an SLI setup! Anyway, "hodl" is very, very bad advice. Get out of crypto now.

Is it one of those pencil cases that look like a burrito? I wouldn't be too disappointed in that.

probably not. It's literally just a version of the movie with some scrolling text that says "not for rent or resale" and "Property of universal"
The movie was ok, but it's not my favorite movie that was ever made.
