Idk why people think they need to rule against the 'dictators'/mods of the forums? report the things you think are wrong and move on.

It seems to me that some members need to do quite some growing up and mature up to be part of a working community. On the other hand, there are the 'veterans' who survived new waves 'stupid zombies' coming in. The problem is, instead of having an open and helping hand, they feel entitled to rule over the other ones incorrectly - They are on the same page as the new ones.

I've no idea what's going on but people you need to chill, go play something else, drink beer, or do something else that relaxes you. Come back tomorrow.

    Negativity creates negativity.

Just add negative people to ignore list, it goes something like this, even it may appear that there would be more negative persons, they are just noisy.

Sorry about the crappy image, I don't have much time for this as I'm creating content to game so people can have more fun.

Yes, that very thing in human nature, aggressiveness and desire to dominate, while not stopping to think how could I do something that supports instead of trying to get rid of the thing unpleasant at very front of the eyes.

So often it would take just little extra effort from people to support those beginning their modding careers, but from some reason there are always few who are not doing this extra effort, but succumb to primal instinct of human nature instead and somewhere there rises these negative waves.

Love is greater than hate, why people don't find sharing their love more interesting than being arrogant and dominant is something that has always puzzled of me.

    My opinions and ideas:
I think some of the issue is that people become very comfortable with the forums, and get used to being able to say whatever they want to a certain extent. Then when someone new comes along who isn't used to how that person acts gets offended because they simply think they are being rude or harsh. People who have been on these forums for a long time are often very accepting of who other users that have been here for a long time, and don't think twice about how they act towards each other. In my opinion people just need to learn how to communicate better with more people here. I did not see anything in the Community Screenshots thread, but I have a feeling that it was someone getting offended because people thought they knew how well he/she was going to take their harsh criticism.

Guys, not everyone recieves the message you are trying to make because they can't see past your harshness/ego/bluntness/whatever. Please keep this in mind when posting, especially if you don't know them very well.

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to voice my opinion and share what I have been seeing. Feel free to criticise and comment.

Generally speaking, opinion disclaimer, not subtly referring to anybody, etc.

Missed last night drama (yet another one..), but from what I've seen it seems to have started out of really stupid reasons.

    This.

When I started learning how to mods, in the old Rigs of Rods days, I was doing pretty similar mistakes.
Was so excited/happy to show that I managed to do something in Blender, that I was literally making a thread about the default blender's cube and calling it a vehicle.
I was doing wrong, and users that had more experience than me explained me that, pointing me in the correct direction.
Nothing anywhere near being insulted and treated like shit for those mistakes..

People need to understand that how you tell people thing is important.
You can be seen as a good members, trying to be friendly and explaining users things in proper ways.
Or be seen as a moron, insulting people when they do mistakes and not being of any help, instead creating or fueling problems.

You cannot insult or threat somebody like shit and hide behind a "I'm helping him" excuse. That has nothing to do with with helping, being useful or a good member.

There's no "higher and lower class" , no "more and least important users" here. What's there are users that are being there for longer times than others, users that have more experience in doing things.
These users are often (and should be) seen as example from newer users (that's nothing new to this world, it's pretty much the same for any community out here).
You can imagine what happens if these more experienced users start to behave like shit, and newer users take them as example.

Behaving better, being more friendly to others and wisely choosing words when pointing other mistakes costs nothing, so why not do it?

Shutout to @DuneWulff and @Re:Z_IA , as from what I've seen, are good examples for most: they have tried to do their best contributing to the forum, helping users, and being overall friendly to everybody.

I'm still of the mind that people who "make" a mod where you just take a mesh from some website and put it on a premade jbeam will never get anywhere in modding. You don't learn anything by having someone else do the work for you.

If these people actually go deep into editing the jbeam or vastly improving the mesh thats different and its something I can get behind.

    Agree with that.
One can explain them why it's not worth to do that, that is against the philosophy of having an accurate simulation (literally the whole reason of the game), point them in the right direction, and so on.
If then they don't want to listen, simply ignore them. There's no reason to start a fight or whatever because of that, it's not like that would help anything.
At the end of the day, it's them who don't know how to properly mod, no reason to bring it on a personal level or start a massive fuzz about it.

(still not referring to anyone, generally speaking)

    No, they are not.

Of course they aren't if you're a moderator who is forced to deal with them. But if you are just a spectator...all this immaturity and bashing each other is a real show.

Yeah thats true, by far the most important thing to me is decently accurate simulation for mods. I personally have no issue with models that are ripped or downloaded from model sites (original is always better of course) but as long as there is work put into them to make them suitable for the game and the jbeam is well made its fine by me. Personal attacks on modders for it are too far though and don't really help much.
