Yeah, but some people heavily misinterpreted it and speculated that it meant the Mayans somehow knew the world was going to end that day, which I find incredibly ridiculous.

Yes, a lot of the doomsday predictions originated from that. In actuality, the Calendar itself didn't end like they believed. At least I don't think it did. It wasn't the origin of the speculation. It was a product of it. IMO it did have some pretty cool disaster scenes, and some of the actors were good. But yeah, I agree, it's pretty weak.
I also forgot to mention I had a project from yesterday I just finished a few minutes ago. It was tedious to do, but I liked that it did end up pretty decent for my first project like this.
