Although Automation does not have a proper forum afaik. In my personal opinion I like how it is now. Forums are formal and easily accessible for anyone and it is easy to find threads though google, whereas this is not the case with discord.
When you find out your cousin who you haven't seen in 3 years is in town but she is leaving tomorrow morning.
Sometimes my fun isn't exactly the most... uhh... Legal. We never went above 65MPH* *Speed in excess of 100MPH were reached, but the US government must never know that
Hmmmm.... That said, the Bible is probably as good as source as any for accurate weather forecasting xD
Looking through reddit threads related to the TSA, it amazes me how many people think the TSA actually helps anyone. For anyone not familiar with American Airport security, the TSA is just expensive and aggravating security theater. Deterance is the only thing anyone can even make an arguement for that they do (Not a particularly good argument for though). Long lines, poorly trained agents, and it is completely innefective (Just look up some studies done by the Department of Homeland Security, it's comical how innefective they are). The actual security measures come from other sources. If you want to see how poorly trained the agents are, just show up to airport security with an empty plastic water bottle. I have on multiple occasions, never had an agent know where the nearest trash can was. Once an agent just told me to put it in the x-ray machine... When your job description is to throw out any bottle you see which is over whatever size and you don't even know where the trash can is...
The TSA is all smoke and mirrors. They don't actually do anything outside of making you late for your flight.
I guess they serve to drag you out of line when the facial recognition software determines that you are worthy of further inspection. Especially if you happen to be on the list of journalists who disagree with the current administrations policies, who they currently seem to be especially keen on tracking and harassing. That said, they now want you to declare your social media accounts before entering, which they presumably have backdoors into (including the private stuff, including full history on the platform, and potentially browsing history through Facebook and Google ads tracking). I guess they can now find out whatever they want to. Not surprising that so many countries are not so keen on the dominance of these platforms. Yay for humanity On a side note, I do wonder how much the TSA cost the US tourism Industry. Since the idea of having to deal with them is rather off-putting for anyone thinking of holidaying in the US. To be clear, I'm not saying the similar stuff isn't happening everywhere else. Often to a more invasive degree in certain regions of the world.
Fucking cowards. This type of shit makes me livid. I do not like cops, in particular. Even if the majority are good, the shit they can get away with is enough to make me dislike them.
They've gotten to the point where I'm required by law to have a passport to board a plane, even if only domestic travel. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. If I want to take a plane to New York, I STILL have to provide a passport. It's freaking ridiculous. There's a way around it. My state offers a special I.D. that takes place of a driver's license. It allows me to drive, purchase alcohol, etc. etc. and fly. Thing is, I have to completely have my licensing renewed to gain it and provide a birth certificate, a current passport, social security, AND proof of address in order to even begin the process of applying for one. All I want to do is ride on a big flying tube every now and again. It's fine if I have to pass through a useless X-ray (I carry knives on me for protection, have had one all the way to and on the plane before), but THIS?! That's a little far.
