So yesterday I decided to work on the engine of my Jeep to figure out what happened to it. Cranked over just fine, decided to do a compression test to see if any damage happened to the top end or cylinders... 120, 160, 150, 150, 155, 160, 160, 150 One cylinder is a bit funky, but correct compression is anywhere between 100-160psi for the Chrysler 5.2. It's basically brand new. "Okay", I thought, "might as well start it up and see what happens." Started it up. All misfires have disappeared. It's smooth. Quiet. No ticks or knocks, oil pressure is absolutely fantastic. Took it for a drive, never been smoother. Great power. It'll wait until 5,000 RPM to shift now, previously it short shifted at 4,000. Didn't overheat, didn't lose oil pressure. Didn't flatten a cam lobe. Didn't destroy a lifter. Didn't spin a bearing. It's almost like it needed a nice, good breakdown to flipping fix itself. I'm at a complete loss. Being a live front axle truck it doesn't have a traditional k-member, so I'm gonna take the oil pan off and see if there's any sparkalies down there before I call it good.
You could get a magnetic drain plug to collect any metal debris in the future for diagnostic and preventative purpouses. If you can, also cut apart the oil filter to see if it has caught any chunks of metal.
Yeah, I need to take a look in the oil filter. If I can see anything remotely resembling bearing material it's getting a rebuild. Of not, I'll call it a freak thing and just keep driving it.
Honestly, I'm kinda glad they came with the 302 and 351. More performance parts that are easier to install.

It's come to the point where a toddler could probably be punished for singing the alphabet in the next few years.
let us have a moment of silence for the thousands of flash games that will be ruthlessly struck down on December 31st, the souls of the innocent games shall live on forever in our hearts, chrome, the murderer of our beloved flash, must live forever with a heavy heart, remembering its victims. motox3m, super smash flash, tower desktop defense, line rider, raft wars, the entire empires of cool math and poki, may they live forever in our hearts
I think IE can still use Flash, and you can download an outdated version of Chrome as well as flash on some other website.
Actually, you can re-enable Flash on most browsers so long as you haven't uninstalled it - it's just that Adobe will no longer support it. It's kind of like Windows 7 (no more security, features, etc. but it works)
Well I guess that means that google is just an ass for making it seem like it's completely going away.
