while it was the fastest commercial airliner to enter service, the honour of fastest plane actually goes to the Lockheed SR-71 blackbird.
Akshooleeeee the Blackbird is the fastest air breathing plane. The honor of the fastest plane goes to the rocket-powered NASA X-15. TL;DR the Blackbird is the fastest plane that matters
I have purchased an Enduro car. Some of you may laugh. A lot of you will cry. It is a 1995 Cadillac de Ville with a 4.6L Northstar. It may or may not make it to the end because Northstar. If it DOES make it to the end, I will forever swear by the Northstar engine.
100 laps, ~35 cars on a 3/8 mile dirt oval, full body contact. I'll be filming as much as I can. The one I'm going to is two 100 lap races as a Labor Day special. Buy in is $100, grand prize per race is $2000. So assuming the Cadillac survives the first race, I should be able to register into the second one if they allow.
The 1995 de Ville came with two engine options upon further research; the 4.9L L26 High-Technology engine, or the 4.6L LD8 Northstar engine. Research says the 4.9L pushrod motor is fairly durable (unlike its 4.1L brother), but I want the Northstar for the extra 75HP. Either way, it'll be one of the fastest things on the track.
:Slaps forehead: Well good luck and have fun with that a valiant/dart would have been a smarter choice for the same money
Theoretically it wouldn’t be terribly hard to swap a 5.3 LS4 from the FWD cars into one of these, would be an interesting swap to see done.
This one will absolutely be too clapped by the end of this to do anything like that. If I find another deVille for the same money, I'd love to try that swap. You show me where I can get a Valiant for $500 and a case of Bud Light xD (Not joking, btw)
Go to a junkyard, bring some petrol, trans fluid and spark plugs and dont forget to pick up that bud light on the way there. Now see that rusty old dodge that looks like its been there a century, go to it, pop the hood and if its a slant in there (the 318's will cost too much in sparkplugs), replace the sparkplugs and make it drink some fire maker, replace the transmission fluid, and you should be able to drive straight outta there, if not then move to the next slant powered mopar and repeat the process This is a joke, i did not realise you bought that car for 500 bucks
Yeah, I straight up stole this thing somehow. I can't wait. I should be picking it up this coming weekend if all goes to plan.
For that price you'll still get your moneys worth even if you only make it a few laps, well hope it all goes well for ya
