This one will absolutely be too clapped by the end of this to do anything like that. If I find another deVille for the same money, I'd love to try that swap.

You show me where I can get a Valiant for $500 and a case of Bud Light xD (Not joking, btw)

Go to a junkyard, bring some petrol, trans fluid and spark plugs and dont forget to pick up that bud light on the way there. Now see that rusty old dodge that looks like its been there a century, go to it, pop the hood and if its a slant in there (the 318's will cost too much in sparkplugs), replace the sparkplugs and make it drink some fire maker, replace the transmission fluid, and you should be able to drive straight outta there, if not then move to the next slant powered mopar and repeat the process :)

This is a joke, i did not realise you bought that car for 500 bucks

Yeah, I straight up stole this thing somehow. I can't wait. I should be picking it up this coming weekend if all goes to plan.

Only if you leave a deposit and they take off with it. This is just morally wrong, something that would earn them a very bloody nose

It’s on par with or maybe even slower than my Honda Fit lol. And my Fit has all of 109 HP out of a 1.5 liter. What motor is in there? It sounded like a V6.

Probably the same 3.1L OHV V6 that was in my Sunbird. Rated at 140 HP and, if memory serves, 190 lb-ft. The difference is, in the Sunbird, it at least felt quick because the car was lighter and had a manual transmission. This seems to not have either of those things.

Spot on! The 140HP 3.1 mated to a 4-speed in a 3,500 pound car. My dishwasher moves around the kitchen faster than this move down the road.

    It has a 4-speed? I'm honestly surprised, I would have expected a 3-speed.

Apparently, its first gear is too long, as the angle of the needles on the tachometer and speedometer are almost the same

Research I've done seems to suggest the 3-speed Grand Prix was with the Quad-4 only. All V6 Grand Prix's of this generation were mated to a 4-speed.

Further research also suggests these start out in 2nd gear unless forced into first if I understand correctly.

I actually kinda felt bad about ripping this thing apart since it's 30 years old and relatively straight... that is until I drove it. And then I looked underneath it. The front driver's lower control arm has HUGE rust holes in it. Also it has the typical 3.1 head gasket problem because they all do.
