Re: General discussion chat The dude I know that ran away, it actually helped his relationship with his parents. Kinda made them realize what they were doing and step out of his life a bit. It varies wildly from family to family though.
Re: General discussion chat Well personally, i suggest not doing the running away thing completely. Most of the time it just makes things worse. Back in the 50's-70's you could do that sort of thing and start a new life, but nowadays it just leads to shit. But if its of any consolation, youre not the only one with bad things going on in life atm. I havnt had any power for the past 2 weeks almost, and its starting to get into the 30s at night. mom hasnt paid the bill and now its at like 2 thousand dollars and she cant pay it, nor can she get any assistance for it cause all of the state assistance programs are out of funding. its gotten to the point where shes looking for a shelter for us to stay at, and no shelters accept dogs, and hes basically my only friend irl. so woohoo! life sucks. It does for everyone at some point, but it gets better if youre patient. Dont make rash decisions based on whats happening now.

Re: General discussion chat Thats culminated over the months, they just havnt turned it off until recently. Our monthly power bill isnt that high, only around 120 at its highest during the winter months. she just never paid it and spent it on other things *cough* wine *cough*

Re: General discussion chat So, I was mowing the lawn earlier and I had some fun reaching under the side of the hood and yanking back on the accelerator/governor to make it rev much higher than it should. Probably shouldn't do that.
