Damn alot has been going on here not gonna lie and since i havn't anything to post... OT: Tell me that the small mod avatar / picture thing doesn't look like some random small mod from 2016 (zoom in to see)
Why are you sad? Don't be! The fact that you posted more times than 99% of all users on the forum in one year is not one to bring yourself down over. In fact, why not step it up? Aim for adding 5,000 posts over the next 365 days! You can do it! ...right? (Here's to hoping that I don't inadvertently drive SSRG crazy by making him aim for a ridiculous goal.)
Guys they actually added new featured resources I think they still kept the Serenity just for the memes
LegThePeg Official had an alternate account?? Ban him!!! Also, where’s the real Leggy? If you aren’t the official one, who is?
Huh? I thought that was the second time I talked about it. You had me worried for a moment, because I thought I talked about other things? You're probably thinking "oh look, Racer's talking about his dad again, which (apparently) means he does it all the time..." ...but if you didn't warn me about it, I'd probably end up that way, because man it sucks putting up with him. I have many stories, but here's one: can you imagine him lecturing you on politics... and he doesn't stop until 2AM? (I normally go to bed at 11PM.) All the while his lack of tech literacy becomes extremely clear? It's happened multiple times. And then he wants me agreeing with his views (threats include taking away everything I have!)... nobody destroys my mood quite like he does. I just want to vent sometimes. It's awful. I'd rather not care, but he wants me to. That's the quick version. I'll try not to talk about this again. (update) I should clarify that no, the lectures don't last 6 hours. It's probably just in him to yell away after midnight. The lectures usually last an hour, but yes, there was one that went 3 hours. It was AWFUL. But since about 2 years ago, he now lives in a different house a few states away. None of my phone calls with him collapse into arguments. Thank goodness for that! I should start doing weird tedious things to take my mind off of this, because that usually works... hmm, idea: cross the entire Land of Sands map (if my math is right, corner-to-corner would be a distance of ~460 miles), whilst recording it so that I can put it up on YouTube. How I'd cross the map, I don't know, so I'm gonna try to figure that out. Hopefully by Friday I'll do it and put up the video.
I mean, "tech literacy" isn't my strong suit either, but I don't force my ideas on others. I wouldn't want someone forcing their beliefs on me, and even if I (probably) agree with some of your father's views doesn't mean I'm going to force it upon others. Also, don't think of everyone with those views as being like your father. I'm not saying you do, but still.
I said I wouldn't talk about this again, so I won't. I will say this much though: I always try to find a good side to things. And yes, there is a good thing out of this: words on the internet mean nothing to me anymore. When done right, roasts can be good, but at this point, I just read them. Sure, [unnamed naive person], say I'm stupid, but have you ever yelled to my face about how I'm bad at parking at 150 WPM for 10 minutes straight? No you haven't. I have somewhat of a knowledge on people who don't know better on this forum. You know, those that keep asking when something's going to be released, why it's paid and not just free because "wow this clearly isn't worth the money", and there was that one instance where a child resorted to slurs after just two posts. And honestly, I kind of wish I was there to dump a paragraph or two on those people. I raise sort of a proposal: I don't have much to say on what happens in BeamNG... but I most certainly want to tell people to get their act together, so if you see someone acting naive like that, send me a PM (however it works on here-- I haven't looked at it yet), and I'll see what I can do. I'm not going to be like that one person (whom I forgot the name of) that used overly complicated language to (in essence) tell people to get off the forums, I don't ramp up my anger that quickly. (And I honestly cannot emulate that kind of language either!) Rather, my suggestions would lean towards "why don't you actually think of what you're saying and whether that's likely to make you look stupid?" because I really think people should double-check what they say. I do that.
Yeah. They bring nothing of value. Speaking of such, Team Fortress 2's Steam page got bombarded with negative reviews, mostly because of the #FixTF2 and #SaveTF2 campaigns. For context, the almost 20-year old game's casual servers have been invaded by bots since late 2019, lesding to people playing on community servers instead. These aforementioned hashtags have surfaced due to Valve's negligence and refusal to solve this problem.
No offence to Nekkit, but... His joke mod has 13,000+ downloads (yes, I'm counting the egg as a joke mod). Also, the Astro is one of the most popular mods ever, with 1,000,000+ downloads. It is currently 8th on the "Top Resources" leaderboard, beating the Gen2 Kashira, Saga, and the Claria (and Legacy Gridmap).
Today, I finally invested in some new shoes. I haven't had any "casual" shoes in a few years, besides a pair of worn-out hightop Avias I never wear. I usually just wear heavy steel-toe work boots or Cabela's low-top hiking boots, but today I bought some On Running Cloudtecs, and man, are they nice. I highly recommend them. It's nice to have lightweight, breathable shoes again.
Speaking of your signature, I hate you for making me laugh today by clicking on your "Expand Signature". ... It was in class. During the middle of a lesson. Damn you lol
I wanted to do that video of crossing Land of Sands in its entirety today, but I got caught off guard when I found out BeamLR is a thing. Seems like something that'd be worth a let's play. I'll consider doing that now! I can just imagine the opposing argument. "No, you see, when they check out the negative reviews, that review will catch them by surprise and they'll... they'll uhh... they'll definitely want to buy it then (because obviously a review that catches you by surprise immediately entices you to spend money on the game)." And then you ask about the people who get used to those reviews. "Well, uhh... the element... the intelligence... the... uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........." Ah yes, that protest. With a petition that (as of this writing) stands at 300K+ signatures. Unfortunately, I'm predicting this won't do much. Usually, these petitions have a pattern of not working because... well... do companies really care? Reminds me of the multiple stories of when Facebook overhauled their UI, and with it came massive petitions. If I remember correctly, one scored 1.8 million signatures, yet Facebook just changed the UI anyway without so much as a mention of the petition at all. I know Valve has a little bit of a better track record, but 300K does not seem large enough for them to care at this point. Somehow, I have something to say about shoes. My parents (especially my mom) want me to get new shoes all the time (no kidding, I think I get asked every 3 weeks) because of this fear that me looking poor is going to lead to me being treated worse. Because clearly fashion indicates how well you're raising your child. Since last autumn, I wear sandals. Even for driving, which for some reason got my dad worried about me losing control over pedals. Apparently he thinks all open shoes have no ankle support whatsoever. And then my mom says they're only good for the beach... no, every morning I walk a mile in them, and my feet don't hurt when I'm done. And, sure, they do hurt if I've stood for multiple hours, but not that much. I've got no complaints about my sandals. They do just fine, and that's all I care about.
