Re: General discussion chat It is. And we don't care for it on IRC. The #BeamNG ban wont last long i guess.
Re: General discussion chat If he was using the beamng chat button on the beamng website, then yes he could have closed it, just closing the tab causes the client to not send the quit command, so the irc server doesnt realize the user is gone until it fails the ping test for a few seconds (seems to be around the 100 second mark on the 3phasegaming irc network) Sent from the 3rd galaxy via the talks of tapping
Re: General discussion chat Wrong. he was still on the network. Correct if he quit the page entirely, but he didn't as he was in another channel
Re: General discussion chat I was talking about browser tabs :/ Sent from the 3rd galaxy via the talks of tapping
Re: General discussion chat Is that a Corolla sedan? You poor bastard. Guys, lets start a car fund for redrobin.
Re: General discussion chat I have come to the conclusion that HWMonitor is utterly crap. It seems to think I have +3v on the +5v line and +8v on the +12v line, -13 on -5 and -7 on -12. Out comes my voltmeter, all power supply lines are within 0.05v of what they should be. Oh well. BeamNG temps according to HWMonitor when running the same route on East Coast USA 3 times in a row and with my new casefan I installed set to minimum speed on the crappy fan controller. Core0: 53C Core1: 53C Core2: 53C GPU: 65C With fan speed at max after closing BeamNG and letting everything return to near ambient (GPU 32C, CPU 28C per core) Core0: 49 Core1: 49 Core2: 49 GPU: 63 Well, why do I even bother. Either that or HWMonitor sucks balls even more and those temperatures are completely wrong.
Re: General discussion chat That's why I don't volt monitor in HWMonitor. I use it for recording temperatures.
Re: General discussion chat Just had some fun with the old 120mm fan I replaced. Turns out the control circuitry does function as a somewhat inefficient 3 phase bridge rectifier for generating power. Doesnt matter which direction the fan is spun, still generates power in the same polarity. When taken outside, I measured 4v when holding the fan 1 way into the wind and 7v when flipped around (to allow air to flow *against* the direction the fan usually blows air). Didnt think to measure the amps its producing in dead short, but I reckon there is some usable power for a small device there. I may have to make a wind turbine from it.
Re: General discussion chat For me voltages are always wrong like yours (With both my old and current PSUs) but temps are always correct for me. (Exception being my old A8-3850 but temps for that were wrong in every monitoring program I used.)
Re: General discussion chat So I made shock mounts for my buggy's new shocks, took a few hours. Now I find out that it is not your average steel. I cant drill holes in it. 100th post is a sad one, lol.
Re: General discussion chat It's not just a Corolla, it's the Corolla of Doom. I don't care if it's held together by zip ties. Who cares if the radio is broken and it buzzes like a beehive and smokes worse than a foundry and burns more oil than China? I don't care if the exhaust header is cracked so I can't use the heat or air because it'll kill me. I don't care if the brakes don't work and that the engine produces less power than Belgium. I still love that car.
Re: General discussion chat anyone else ever just want to load up an older version of beamng? (like the version with the sand eating wheel bug) to mess around with things from there, like the sand eating wheel bug (i always thought that was hilarious personally)
Re: General discussion chat is that not what i just said? the sand eating the wheels bug surely i'm not the only one who would like to be able to download and play old versions like that? (hmmmm, maybe the devs could set them up as "Betas" so that people can play whatever version they fancy EDIT: lol, dat edit
