Re: General discussion chat My town is mostly Crown Vics and those Ford 4WD crossover things. (I forget what they're called. We were behind one earlier but there was no model name on the back.)
Re: General discussion chat i'm pretty sure the only police suv type thing ford makes is the explorer (which is an suv, but i personally consider it more of a crossover)
Re: General discussion chat I see mostly Volvo's, Merc's and bmw's . But i dont go outside much so i only really ever see police vehicles on motorways. Police transits are probably the most common single police vehicle i have seen.
Re: General discussion chat My town uses Crown Vics because Murica. Also, here's the ride of choice for the New Hampshire state police (my state) More Murica. My mom lives on one of the main roads in town, so cop cars are a more frequent sight at my house than others in town. That applies to both the town cops and state police. Staties, as we call them in NH, drive these things hard when they're on a call. These Chargers are loud as fuck when you start pushing them. Trust me, I've heard them blasting past my house at 70+ MPH (at least) before. And yes, they did have their lights on at that speed.
Re: General discussion chat Meanwhile in Australia . These guys really do speed, They can speed through redlights, stop signs, Railroad tracks etc...
Re: General discussion chat I'm sad that David Is gone from list25 :'( I'm seriously so upset This Tak has been Topped. Wait that's not right...
Re: General discussion chat All this talk about crown vics made me go in-game and drive around with nades crown Vic mod, lol Sent from the 3rd galaxy via the talks of tapping
Re: General discussion chat Ive decided im not going to be going to the cars sub-reddit, as they are all idiots (they are all trying to tell me a muscle car is a family vehicle with a v8 dropped in, by that definition, my parents ford expedition is a muscle car, lolwat) Sent from the 3rd galaxy via the talks of tapping
Re: General discussion chat teens don't want to drive as much This is interesting. I mean, fuck me, I'd give a toe to have my license right now, but apparently only 27% of 16 year olds get their licenses. Shit man.
Re: General discussion chat Those 16 year olds are all crazy(I personally cant wait to get my license), I love driving, its quite fun (and will be even more fun once I learn to drive a manual ) Sent from the 3rd galaxy via the talks of tapping
Re: General discussion chat My cousin is one of those 16 year old. He is like terrified of driving or something. It's rather strange.
Re: General discussion chat Get a cheap manual banger hyundai and trash with it around a field and forest roads, nobody busting you there, and the non-tarmac roads add a bit of a challange to the clutch part. I alredy kinda know how to drive a manual. If you know the theory from racing games, then it is real easy, i ain't even 18. If you learn how to drive now, the tests to get a license will be even easier. The thing about 16yr old drivers is also partially about safety, because the two years in europe add a little bit more of maturity and common sense to us kids. the good thing about driving since 18is that in exchange for license in 18, here i can also go to the pub with my friends and have beer when 18, too.
Re: General discussion chat I've never really understood why you wouldn't want to drive. Even if you aren't interested in driving itself. You gain a fuckton of freedom, and you can start to live your own life, manage your own stuff, be where you want when you want. You don't have to get parents to drive you to friends houses, or school. You can go to fucking mcdonalds at 3am. Who doesn't want the ability to do that? I just don't get it. - - - Updated - - - If my state changes the age to 18 before I start driving, I will actually go murder someone.
Re: General discussion chat Yeah i definitely found when me and my year at school were turning 17 (uk driving age), i was surprised at the amount who just never bothered learning to drive and getting a licence. I reckon it was probably about 50/50 in terms of who ended up getting a license before school finished. And its not like we live in a big city where you have to drive, I was about 10 miles from school and loads of people were even further away, so being a rural area, it just makes sense to be able to drive. Although lessons, insurance and of course the car can be super expensive. Of course i was absolutely desperate to drive, and had been driving my field cars for well over 5 years before turning 17.
