Re: General discussion chat @aljowen, if the reason is that he thinks you don't sleep enough, then maybe start sleeping more? idk
Re: General discussion chat Getting my license was a piece of cake. Passed the permit test without even studying. Took drivers ed which at my school was fun as hell went to sonic every day and got drinks. Aced drivers ed and walked in, gave a slip and walked out with my drivers license.
Re: General discussion chat Any progress on the quad or is it dead ? Currently can't get drivers licence because my family is broke.
Re: General discussion chat i'd have gotten my license on the 20th of august if it wasn't for the fact that my parents have trouble finding time to take me driving (atm i only need my 10 hours of night driving, and im good to go) i did online drivers ed, finished that and they mailed(physical mail) me documents to get permit, went in on febuary 20th and got my permit (just barley passed test, lol) then right after we wen't to local drivers teaching place (where you actually drive, 6hrs of this is required in cali) and was told i'm a natural driver anyway, 10 hrs of night, then i have a license (probably still won't have my own car yet though)
Re: General discussion chat Just wondering, how do you prove that you've actually done the stuff like 10 hours of nighttime driving?
Re: General discussion chat I learned how to drive by pushing things to their limits. Kinda a dumb thing to do but I did this in prescribed limits. Roads when Noone was on them I would set mental targets and slam my brakes to see how soon I could stop. My mom taught me something good. When your driving always have an idea of what to do if something goes wrong. Like if the car ahead of u slams their brakes can u get over etc etc. Driving is such a second hand nature thing to me now but u still got to pay attention to little things. I remember when I first started driving I was so scared of traffic. Hillarious I know lol.. but if I seen other cars near me I was so uncomfortable. Back on the limits thing. Each time I get a new car I figure out its limits. But I don't do bizarre things. I have discovered something. There's Good good driving and Good bad driving. Got to know how to do both of them. My friend was a good driver. Never hot rodded around before he just drove from a to b. First time me him and my friends raced down a curvy road he flipped his car. He didn't know the limits to his car. He was not aware of how much force his tires could handle. The way his car threw itself around. He lost control hit a ditch and flipped. Long story short learn you vehicle. Treat it more than a piece of metal.
Re: General discussion chat Honestly I got mad because I can't create the plastics. I kinda gave up. If I could've got some help I could finish it.
Re: General discussion chat i learn my vehicles just by driving them (first time i drove expedition, when we got to highway speeds i just couldn't do it, second time i drove it when we got to highway speeds, it was like i've been doing this for ages) i've now driven the expedition so many times that i know the perfect rpm(3K-4K rpm, it also sounds amazing at that rpm) for a nice 9 second 0-60 (pretty decent considering vehicle size)
Re: General discussion chat I usually go to bed between 11:30 and 12:45 depending on if i have things to be doing, so i get ~7 hours every school night. Weekends they cant get me out of bed until around 10 or 11. Personally i don't think its a problem, i also don't think its worth loosing 1h - 1h30m each day just lying in bed doing nothing, i usually go to sleep when i am tired. The only exception is if i have a ton of schoolwork (almost always computing) to do in which case i may be up later trying to get that finished. I have learned my lesson, parents control what i do, no ifs no buts. It is simply a waste of my time and energy to try and have things any other way.
Re: General discussion chat I've got a 1999 Honda Accord. No idea how it drives as I can't. I've been planning to install my MOMO wheel to play games with for lols and getting a general idea but eh.
Re: General discussion chat Parents are faggots. They won't let me ride a bike outside when it's wet. "you're not aware of your surroundings enough" what the fuck does that have to do with pavement being wet it's sprinkling not pouring down in sheets also it's wrong in the first place fucking idiots.
Re: General discussion chat Ah crap, SOE servers seem to have gone down. Anyone here on a ps3 or ps4 having issues? All my characters self-destructed and now the website is down.
Re: General discussion chat My first problem when going faster was to get to 50 km/h, i was flying down a (long enough) farm field, and it did not want to go to third, so i accidentally put it in 5th, and then 1st, so that was a oopsie. I stalled it, stopped, cooled my head and then it went perfectly from 1st to 2nd, and into 3rd. Clutch work, everything, but i really had to be patient. It was on a field sometimes in fall, and it was in a 2.0 D Mondeo wagon, so it was kinda throwing the car around, because it is pretty wide and low for what it is. They did not let me drive over 50 because the car would get trashed on the field that did not have anything to do with a road whatsoever. Driving a car for the first time (and a manual ftw) in my life will probably ever be the most exciting first-time experience ever. (I alredy shot some guns, so no to guns)
Re: General discussion chat 50 KM/h? if thats highway speed where you live, then thats not all that fast, highway speeds here are between 88KM/H and 104KM/h (55MPH and 65MPH) interstate speeds are 70MPH (possibly higher, i've only ever been on one interstate) (112 KM/H) all of these speeds i've driven at EDIT: GOSH DANGIT FORUMS, STOP SPLITTING UP QUOTES)
Re: General discussion chat Definitley not highway speed, the maximum allowed is 130km/h on the highways but mostly if you don't want to stay behind some 100km/h slowpokes in the right lane you have to keep the 150 or 160
Re: General discussion chat We got it replaced about a year of driving ago along with most everything in the front except the engine. It's been sitting nearly 2 years though. We start it and drive it every month or so though. I don't plan on beating it though as it's the only car I'll have for a while. *sigh* At least it isn't the 0.33MB/s I had. (imported from here)
Re: General discussion chat It seems I'm not the only one who played NFS Shift II. They really needed to release more DLC instead of abandoning it as soon as another game came out.
Re: General discussion chat I've never been scared of doing anything in a car to this date. Actually, pulling the truck into the garage still kinda makes me nervous because there are so many things that if I even tapped, my life would be over. If it wasn't such a weird angle trying to wedge it in there ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), I'd be fine. Not enough space to navigate that big thing around in the driveway. Anyway, I've always pushed the limits whenever I could. The first time I ever brought a car up to decent speeds I love it. I've always loved going fast and pushing cars to their limits, never been scared of it. I've done emergency stops from pretty much every speed that I've brought a car to, I've oversteered, understeered, even drifted a bit. Being stupid with cars can be educational. I am a very strong advocate of learning the limits of your car.
