Re: General discussion chat I always buy indie games to support the developers. I even buy AAA games if they're worth the price. But Ubisoft, or EA? Nope, fuck you, you're not getting a single penny from me. I'm not buying their crap. Why would I buy the game, to pay $60 for unfinished, rushed, poorly ported crap, and then waste another $40 in DLC just for the missing bits of the game? Hah, no. The only game I ever bought DLC for is Skyrim. Bethesda is one of the few big companies that make proper games and aren't just a greedy "console players give us more money, console first it is" company. Proper mod support, hundreds of hours of non repetitive gameplay, and DLC that add new content to the game. Lots of it. The Dragonborn DLC includes a whole new map, a whole long questline plus sidequests, and if that isn't enough, you can ride motherfucking DRAGONS. None of that "hey look, we made a new weapon, give us $2 and you can have it" bullshit. Rockstar is also doing well, keeping microtransactions out of the way (as in not forcing you to pay money) for GTA Online and providing free updates rather than DLC. The GTA 4 DLC/expansions were also certainly worth the money, as they were a whole complete story. So no, I'm not a pirate, I buy my games, but if you're a shit company then you don't deserve my money and I'll pirate your games just as a big "fuck you" to you. By the way, fuck you, Ubisoft.
Re: General discussion chat Well, I got my new screen and set it up. Using HDMI with the better monitor out of my old two on the left with DVI. (Compaq 20 inch 1600x900 LCD. New one is an Acer IPS 1080p 23".) It's amazing how much better it looks next to the Compaq. Brighter, smaller pixels, bigger, better contrast, much better colors, etc. http://imgur.com/a/nxOsF
