Did you check out the new children's section? It's pretty cool.

It's just a bunch of toys getting it on.

Nothing gets me more focused on writing a paper than some good, upbeat EDM.

Last time I heard edm, I wanted to kill myself.

Step dad just tried showing off his new box of pens, bragging about a however many mm wide nib with a high flow rate or something. I just nodded and said "cool, but the Russians used a pencil".

It is however false that the russians used pencils as an alternative to spending millions on the space pen, the graphite floats in the cockpit and shorts electronics making them inherently dangerous to space flight. It is also a myth that buzz aldrin used a space pen to replace a damaged relay on the moon missions as the pens in use were coated in order to prevent electrical conductivity. He may well have wedged foil into the gap or something, but not a pen

Depends on the song I guess. I like the softer, more relaxed EDM. It's certainly not for everybody though.

this message is being typed from that old pentium 3 laptop i was talking about

ie6 sucks, and chrome and latest firefox both laggy on this thing, so using an old version firefox that doesn't lag too much

this pc is actually pretty fast considering it's age

240MB of ram makes for some pretty limited stuff to do though

also only go's up to 1024x768 (well, XP resolution settings says it can go to 1280x1024 but i tried it and it didnt fit on the screen)

aol 7.0 also works pretty well

here, have a screenshot of my screen:

i have no idea what that is

also probably not worth it considering it'll only ever get used by me for old games (ik i could use wine, but honestly it's fine, plus i don't feel like setting up whatever version of linux that is on my PXE server)

I have an old HP laptop right now. Celeron M 1.5 GHz, shitty graphics, 1024x768 screen. It's not really mine, I just reinstalled XP on it and now I'm trying to keep it because I want a laptop :/
XP with Firefox 33 runs just fine. I would install some Linux distro but all of the laptop's WLAN drivers are only available for Windows. It also had the original Windows key sticker on it, which I used so it's technically a legit copy :p

Someone had written "i7" on top of the celeron m sticker, lel. Wiped it off though.
I had to reset my network from WPA2 to WPA because it didn't support WPA2. But latest Firefox works fine. Haven't tried Chrome, but it kills single-core CPUs so it probably won't be good. Didn't run on a 2 GHz P4, probably won't run on a 1.5 GHz Celeron M.

Try to run Firefox 4. Unlike 3.x it can actually render most modern websites properly, and the UI is mostly the same to firefox 1x/2x. Much better.

    Re: General discussion chat

chrome refused to install for me, just says this pc doesn't meet requirements

latest firefox works, but unbearably slow

also the hdd limits the max internet speeds on it as well

    i have a 6MB/s download speed

this thing downloads at an average of 100KB/s

    yeah...

also never had a problem of internet websites not loading correctly on this version of firefox

What the hell is wrong with Microsoft's website? I entered the VC++ 2013 download page and Firefox started lagging and using 300 MB of RAM. God dammit Microsoft fix your website.
