Re: General discussion chat Any mods on an Aussie vehicle need an engineering certificate to be road legal. P platers also cannot drive vehicles with engineering certificates. So basically you won't own that car for many years. It also clearly states 580 horsepower not 1000. That motor still won't last long without lots of regular maintenance. It also clearly states its a 13b which is twin rotor, not a 20b Its also hideous.
Re: General discussion chat You have to read the part at the bottom, the description. The top shows default specs, not the actual car. It is a messed up thing with carsales, so read the description. Also, this is for after P Plate. Description: "Australian delivered 1992 fd rx7 with 20B the body is in immaculate condition with no rust what so ever. Body is standard except rear wing. The interior is all there and is decent condition but the seats could do with a retrim this can be included at the asking price. 18x8 front and 18x10 on the rear. The motor was built by Craig Dyson in late 2010 with brand new housings and rotors 2mm unbreakable seals fully balanced and and clearenced. It has been extend ported and dowled. It's is the exact same set up internally as Wayne's RX3. Microtech computer S6 5 speed with custom Jim berry clutch. It's has a t88 with a 50mm turbosmart wastegate on a custom stainless manifold with a 3.5inch exhaust. Custom alloy radiator, intercooler and oil cooler. Turbosmart SS BOV duel 044 pumps 2L surge tank and twin carter lift pumps. It's was tuned less than 3 months ago and made 580rwhp 18psi @ 6000rpm with the right turbo will make 1000hp. Re: General discussion chat Not rice at all, just a case of poor taste in wheels, and license plates. It could be worse though, much worse.... As for the power, he "says" 520, with the potential to make 1000 with a larger turbo (obviously). If it were me though, I'd detune it back to about 340, that's plenty in an FD. It means it's not road worthy unless you have an engineer inspect the car to ensure the modifications have been done properly and won't explode and ruin many things. Or you could paint it Competition Yellow, add white Mazdaspeed wheels, and write Redsuns on the rear quater Summay: Avoid, it's 30 grand...
