It's actually starting to piss me off ever so slightly now. - - - Updated - - - God! This is stupid! Give me an error code. Give me some troubleshooting guides! GIVE ME SOMETHING! Re: General discussion chat It shouldn't be demanding, but it is because it seems to be terribly made. By that I don't necessarily mean bad performance, but inconsistent performance, in that it might run great on one gaming rig, then terrible on another, then perfect on some 4 year old laptop. Last time I tried the game (main machine specs are GTX780, 8GB DDR3, i5 3570), it would play for 2 minutes then begin to stutter to death. I would have one second of gameplay, then it would freeze for five more. This was regardless of Optifine, clean installs, server running in the background or not, anything. Meanwhile a college PC with an i3 2100 and integrated graphics runs it perfectly fine. A computer that has the CPU, GPU and RAM grunt to max out BeamNG and run at a solid 60FPS should not perform this badly with a game as simple as Minecraft, ever. It says something about the state of the PC version when I have to play it on console if I want a playable version.

Re: General discussion chat Only time I've seen Minecraft splutter and die over time has been when running 32 bit Java on 64 bit windows. The giant download button on the Java site always downloads the 32 bit version.

Re: General discussion chat When I did it I tried the default amount, then 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, none of them worked. 32 bit or 64 bit Java made no difference either.
Re: General discussion chat Something tells me that that's the wrong way to go about that. I think they're actually going to make things worse. Maybe a petition to have the game put back on shelves? I dunno, but that'll probably be more meaningful than all that.
