    My mistake.

My mistake. Also, I'm pretty certain almost every laptop would break if dropped.

Linux - Linus Torvald's Unix Clone, except the early file system the source code was saved on only accepted a 5 character name. So it was shortened to Linux, Linus Unix - linux. Unix *LIKE* kernel - it is not an operating system on its own and it shares no code with Unix itself.

OSX. Uses the XNU kernel. A horrid horrid hybrid of the mach 3.0 kernel (itself a research project into replacing the kernel in the BSD version of UNIX with a microkernel without ruining compatibility with the higher layers of the OS) and FreeBSD with some Objective-C glue logic. Essentially it uses the core of mach as the core of its own kernel with BSD standing in to provide the POSIX API, networking stacks, file systems and a few other non core tasks. BSD originally utilised code from UNIX, but for copyright reasons eventually rewrote all code belonging to AT&T. So again, although it has history in Unix and the end result can be considered a somewhat mutilated yet entirely functional UNIX like kernel, as it no longer contains a single line of UNIX code, it is not UNIX, in fact XNU itself is an acronym for X is Not Unix.

So there we go. OSX is not a linux distro at all. OSX is not UNIX either, although it did have its roots in UNIX someone has since hacked it up with a machete and shoved replacements in.

    On the subject.

Android does use the Linux Kernel.

iOS uses the XNU kernel (although that is the only similarity with OSX).

The PS3 operating system uses elements of FreeBSD alongside a proprietary kernel (a-la the XNU bastard love child of FreeBSD and mach)

The PS4 uses the FreeBSD kernel as is.

Xbox One uses the NT kernel.

    Windows uses the NT kernel.

Windows phone 8 uses the NT kernel (this does not mean windows phone 8 is the same as the usual windows operating system, there is more to an operating system than the kernel, the kernel is just the foundations).

Windows CE, Windows Mobile and windows phone 7 use the CE kernel which has absolutely no relation to the NT kernel in any way except being a microsoft product.

Many dreamcast games actually booted atop the CE kernel.

Things like TV's, in car entertainment systems, set top boxes, DVD players, wireless routers etc often use either CE (CE is particularly common in ATMs and cars actually), BSD or Linux.

Actually they refund that payment. Its simply to confirm the card works as a crude form of ID for the internet. Idea being a child under 13 doesn't have a credit or debit card. Pretty sure it even states that.

Isn't BF4 locked at 60? The i7 is getting constant 60, so if it's locked at 60 get the i7. Much more power.

    Wat?

Do you just assume everyone is rich or something?

Not to mention that i7s are overkill for most games (exceptions being beamng) and are really only useful if you record and render videos a lot

    Lenovo Thinkpad says hi

Because even an i3-4130 is a better CPU. Trust me, I owned a 6100.

An FX-6300 will get you similar performance to the Pentium G3258, and when you buy a proper CPU you'll have to replace the board as well which is an extra $120.

It isn't going to make a difference. BF4 is a cross platform, locked FPS game. For stuff like BeamNG, the i3 is better.
