    2015 PC goals:

    GTX 970

I already though about CPU, Mobo and SSD last year (1 months ago)

Maybe one 8GB Ram, so I reach 16Gigs (Useful, I run out of (8GB easily when running Vegas and Beam at the same time)

Was running on a single 7970, and yeah you need to use the DisplayPort.
If you're buying a DisplayPort adapter, it has to been an Active DisplayPort adapter to work, passive will not work. I was using an active DisplayPort to HMDI adapter(Because it was the cheapest), while my others were on DVI and HDMI.

Went to ask sister if she was ready to go.
Knock first next time (although the door wasn't actually closed properly on this occasion)

To be honest that speaker should be pointing at the face of whoever is using it, not the ceiling. So mount it wherever it does that. If you have multiple speakers try and get it at a similar distance and then adjust volumes on your speakers or on your sound driver in windows to get the volumes from each speaker to sound the same. For a separated stereo (2.0, 2.1) system usually you should aim for an equalateral triangle between the speakers and yo face. Of course it is not always practical to get things set up idealy, in which case get as close as possible and fiddle with volumes to try and make up for it.

    Laptop 2015 goals:

Replace aging and slow (possibly failing) 50GB OCZ SSD in the main drive. If I feel like it. (Maybe even get two matching SSDs to replace both the 50GB and the 64GB in my laptop and RAID 0 them. :D)
Figure out if I can pin mod it.

    Ultrabook 2015 goals:

    Upgrade motherboard. (Already ordered.)
Replace worn out touchpad and base.
Figure out if I can pin mod it.
    Maybe dualboot 7 with XP.

The problem with switching to ARM is that literally every single program would have to be recompiled for ARM.

    True, entirely true.

But as a usable system, I think ARM can do it

Yeah. But I'm pretty sure if mac switched to ARM a lot of developers would go 'lol no fuck you' and ditch mac.
    Please do it Apple.

I can see it making the most sense for the macbook air which is of course meant to go for battery and portability rather than performance.

But its an ancient rumour. I don't think its true.

Sorry I've been gone. I read how you all were talking about computers, and I was camping with the Scouts this weekend. I just got home, ate, and took a shower and changed clothes. I am sleep deprived and was almost hypothermic. It was cold as shit out. 34 degrees is nice for 2 hours, and then the third kicked my ass. Thank god it's over.

Unless he stands at his desk that speaker isn't pointing at his head. Notice that the webcam is pointing down, unless he uses it to create "that" type of video content i assume that it points at his face, the speaker should point in the same direction. Unless he has specific requirements otherwise. Its surprising how big a difference it makes having the speakers pointing at you as opposed to 10-15cm above or below. Its why i employ plastic bottle tops to angle mine a bit :p

I knew someone would say that.

Can anyone... Nevermind. I'll do the smart thing and go to LinusTechTips or /r/AMD for help.
