Re: General discussion chat I had to bring the golf cart, with 4 people piled onto it, to a screeching half from top speed because of a group of dumbass skateboarders that just ride through stop signs without even looking. Quite irritating
Re: General discussion chat It is a network-wide issue, as it even affects my phone and my mothers. I also just found the router, and it's some rinky-dinky shit that was hard to find, and I am gonna try to reset it again.
Re: General discussion chat If they weren't spaced like they were I would have hit them. Those things don't stop very fast when you have 500 pounds loaded onto them. - - - Updated - - - Me too. We just rented this one for a week while we're at the beach.
Re: General discussion chat lol they would probable be ticked, you would have to hope the 4 people in the golf cart knew how to fight
Re: General discussion chat I woulda just sped off if they started getting all mad. Sure its kinda technically leaving the scene but we were both breaking the law. And I doubt they woulda gotten too mad. They weren't agitated when I almost hit them. They kinda laughed it off actually.
Re: General discussion chat I wish home air-con was a thing in the UK: Btw. I wasn't kidding. Nobody has air conditioning at home here. Some cars have it, some shops have it, offices might have it, houses won't though.
Re: General discussion chat Srsly? We've got 3 air-con units in our house plus a fire, and it ain't even that big..
Re: General discussion chat wow you guys are tough, although how often do you guys get over 100 degrees F with 85% humility? Either way no AC is not fun, although you could make your own portable AC unit for very cheap like I did for my garage. You can find tutorials on YouTube.
Re: General discussion chat I laugh at you. We manage 46c along with 70-90% humidity. At least we have AC.
Re: General discussion chat you think 80 degrees farenheight is hot? lol where i live its 105 out right now
Re: General discussion chat where i live it's 109 degree's, luckily where i live we DO have AC in houses EDIT: or it was earlier, it's strangely only 63 degrees right now, in California, in summer... WHAT IS THIS BLACK MAGIC
Re: General discussion chat UK humidity ranges from 70-90% all year round bud, overall average supposedly about 85% (the 70% figure is almost an outlier). Today was 91% but only 21C/69F outside in london, my car registered 25C outside here. My bedroom (where I took that photo) is above the kitchen where we have an oil burning aga cooker running 24/7 (you genuinely cannot turn those things on and off at whim, they take over 24 hours to warm up again) so my room is *always* above outside temperature, combine with it being an old building with poor ventilation, a breezeless day and no UK house having aircon and yeah, 28C as recorded by that thermometer which funnily enough doesnt record past 28C. My LM335 rigged to an arduino recorded 32C but is neither incredibly accurate nor properly calibrated so cannot be taken as a true value. Right now at midnight with windows open and fan going, still recording 26C. Tomorrow its predicted that temperatures will be 30-35C. So there we go, 95F with over 85% humidity without aircon. My car doesnt have aircon either, open door, blast of hot air. This is about as warm as the UK ever gets though, actually its abnormally warm. Most of the year you dont breach 20C, spend a significant portion below 10C.
Re: General discussion chat 80 degrees is fine with me, I think over 100 degrees fahrenheit with high humidity is hot. I've been working outside a lot these last few years so I've gotten a little more used to it but I still prefer winter and autumn.
Re: General discussion chat Humidity has such a huge impact on the heat to your body. It usually gets to 110 or so in Arizona, but it's a dry heat, so it isn't nearly as bad as 95 with high humidity. That feels so much worse tbh. Edit: About my internet situation, would calling my ISP and requesting a new IP address potentially solve this issue?
Re: General discussion chat In CT right now it's like 80-90F during the day and 60-70 at night. We only have one window AC put in (Upstairs) because for some reason my dad doesn't want to put in the other one. (We have three but one of them is extremely loud and uses so much power that it has it's own special outlet. We haven't taken it out of the shed in years.) I just have a window fan in my room. Exhaust during the day, intake at night.
Re: General discussion chat We have 2 big ac units for my house. Originally the one for downstairs was slightly bigger than the one for upstairs. We had the upstairs one replaced a few years ago and I'm not exactly sure what the deal is now. We have plenty of...cooling power idk. This beach house has astonishingly powerful ac I'm not sure it's setup though. Also for some reason I find looking at property values and stuff like that very interesting. I downloaded zillow on my phone. It's very interesting having all of that information. This beach house was built in 92 and is valued at just over a million. The last time it sold was in June 2004 for 1.2 million. That was pretty much at the peak of the market. It's slowly getting better, but I still don't see why this house would have lost 200k in value. It sure could use some tlc but that isn't factored into the value. Idk
