Depends, at some universities quite a chunk of the accommodation has tv license included. At some unis none of the accommodation does. But as far as i can tell in most places that is only for undergraduates, as soon as you get into your second year you have to start paying yourself. But i guess its good to try and keep things simple for the first year, if tv license is included for the first year only then it helps ease most students into getting all the bills and stuff done.

I went to Swansea uni on Wedensday, i was amazed at the computers in the accommodation tour, nearly all the rooms had computers with high end fractal design or nzxt cases. It was also weird that the students in that accommodation had left ipads and other such devices on the desk in their room. It would have been so easy to pick one up and walk out.

    Okaaayyy...

Probably not the greatest of ideas. Probably even worse than jumping in front of a friends car for fun (not looking at anyone on these forums in particular) :p

I'd have the same opinion about that stunt if I had gotten hit both times.
I regret absolutely nothing at all.

It is winter where I live and I will be going to a huge waterpark this Friday. The waterpark has 10 slides that adults can ride, a lazy river, a surfing simulator, a huge kids and adult friendly water playground with five slides, a toddler area with a 11th slide and a 40 foot tall mat racer slide.

School tomorrow...one more week and I have a one week break.

I'm having the thought of selling my Audi and getting something Swedish, like a Saab 9000 1993-1998 or a 900 1988-1993. 9000's are extreme value for money here and they are a bit more common than 900's.
Will be on the lookout for them. :)

You had school cancelled because it was cold? That's dumb. 1-2 months ago we had a full day when it bad enough that the buses were basically sliding around corners.

It's gonna be -8 with a -24 degree wind chill (Fahrenheit). It's pretty crazy that we had 3 days in a row because of the cold, but hey I'm not gonna complain:p

They were one of the biggest retailers of their type...

Emphasis on were. Shut down, they are clearing stock only, nothing being restocked.

    le shit.

i think our school managed to block/disallow proxies/VPNs from working on our network. currently trying to find other alternate and lesser known connections that i can use.

also yes i know it's good for them to do that because we shouldn't be on reddit/facebook/other less than school appropriate sites, but it's a bit of a bore to be restricted from those sites when we have nothing more to do.

i'm not the best student. yes i could be studying. i don't know why i do not do so.

also it was a good idea to change the administrator password this year, but it's hell for any of us who are actually smart with technology and can usually troubleshoot issues ourselves and we are not able to because of that. i somehow didn't get my password changed, and while i didn't actually intend to do that, i still worry that i'd get into trouble if they found out, but it's not like i'm doing anything bad, and honestly, i'd much rather keep the ability to fix my own computer, if issues arise.

Only time I ever went to Radio Shack was for an Xbox 360. I went the day before the Slim came out and got a 360 Elite with 120GB hardrive for $120. Less than half price.
