Re: General discussion chat Same could apply again, noise on the 5v bus interfering with the audio driver circuitry if its not properly isolated. I bet if you hook an oscilliscope to the keyboards USB cord you'd see a ripple which varies with backlight brightness. There are alot of LED's in that keyboard, fairly power hungry considering the device is running in USB's power limited mode.
Re: General discussion chat (imported from here) (Cables were being ordered in a second moment. I got to hide half of them, the rest nope because the PSU cables are too short) It's the first time I swap a case
Re: General discussion chat so, today i've decided to dual boot 7 on to my pc for older games such as midtown madness 2, and i've run into a problem, my motherboard doesn't seem to want to detect my flash drive as bootable (or possible at all) windows see's everything fine, i've made sure the drive is bootable, so i don't understand why it refuses to boot from my drive (flash drive is set as active, i've also made sure of that) (and yes, my motherboard does support usb booting) if anyone has any idea's on what could be the problem, or perhaps a way to get the windows 7 installer to run from within windows 8.1 (already tried compatibility mode, doesn't change anything) that would be great
Re: General discussion chat Assuming you're on Windows 8 Pro or 8.1 Pro, I don't have a solution but a far simpler alternative: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8002 If you can download that you can use an XP virtual machine with the same support, being x86 and older than 7 it's more likely to support older and 16-bit programs if you need those. EDIT: Nevermind, just downloaded it and it's Win7 only.
Re: General discussion chat Have you disabled secureboot? May alternately be an option for enabling legacy mode. Regardless, windows 7 will not boot in a secure UEFI environment.
Re: General discussion chat yes, i have disabled secure boot (as well as checked the legacy mode stuff, it's set to legacy mode already) EDIT: Forgot to enable CSM, only problem now is that windows 7 doesn't want to install on the partition i made for it, because GBT, i don't suppose there's a way to make the specific partition i made for it MBR, instead of my entire drive EDIT: so there doesn't seem to be, anyone know of a way to get 7 to install to a gbt partition? (i'm going to be installing ultimate x64)
Re: General discussion chat I just cable tie a few cables together, I don't bother hiding them behind anything because it's easier to work on something when all the cables are all there in front of you. As long as it's not so bad it's restricting airflow it doesn't matter, really.
Re: General discussion chat I might try to redo all the cables connection cleaner. How should I deal with some cables being too long? That's what create the mess inside the case.
Re: General discussion chat Don't you hate it when you playin beamng and you have this collision set up and you have it in 100x slowmotion just waiting for it to happen. And you're just all like "OOOOOOOoOooOoooooohhh' Then as soon as the cars touch the game crashes. I cri everitiem
Re: General discussion chat install minitool partion wizard. it may be able to change the partion type. also get the home version, its free
Re: General discussion chat You should run everything trhough the grommits to the back of the motherboard tray. Just run everything back there and buy a set of these extension cables: http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/4...head_bitfenix_vs_modright_vs_nzxt/index2.html
Re: General discussion chat Thought this was quite funny https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0doSWS0Fj24&feature=youtu.be TBH I want to send this to a couple forum members but I'll refrain
Re: General discussion chat YEAH, i got windows 7 installer to work on GBT (and for it to start from within windows itself as well) - - - Updated - - - NVM, windows setup hangs at starting windows (after the very first restart) apparently it's a common problem with UEFI installations of 7
