Yeah right, but i heard that unless they test it themselves, there is no rating and so for them it "does not meet standards" because they haven't "set" any. For instance they don't care about borrowing any Euro NCAP/ADAC stuff, they just plain say "standards not me, you can't import it." YOU CAN'T IMPORT A BLOODY PEUGEOT 307 THERE IS NO WORDS FOR THAT
I have to supply 3 Peugeot 307's for the NHTSA. They conduct a frontal, side, and rollover crash test. If deemed safe, I can import one. This is why people just wait for the 25 year grace-period. It ends up costing 4 times more than the car is worth just to import one. Again, welcome to the United States. Why can't we be more like the UK? In the UK, if I were to import a Ford F-150, it's exempt from the gas guzzler tax for reasons I don't know.
Well i guess if its a rare car you may be able to increase the value of your own considerably by destroying three others
Damn I don't think they would have been able to run if they were driving something else than an old 240. Built like tanks. Also, people that run from accidents are the lowest of the low.
Well that was quick, i reported him just a few minutes ago for his pirating antics/dickishness. Good job devs!
Yes, I am actually burning audio CDs. It's WAY cheaper than replacing the head unit in my truck for something with an aux jack. And CDs sound better anyways.
Surprisingly, it doesn't. 2002 and doesn't have a cassette deck. Probably because it has the upgraded sound system in it (RDS vs. non-RDS).
Head unit with aux greater than CD greater than cassette adapter greater than FM transmitter. Most head units with aux are capable of higher quality on the aux input than from a CD, namely being dependent on the phone connected (almost all smart phones are CD quality output or greater) and with little interference from the cable (although I do have to turn 3g off as that does cause a barely audible him) Cassette adapters notably sound bad, I'm no audiophile and can hear the interference on cassette. Fm tuners are even worse. Some factory head units have an aux hidden on the back, worth a check.
I find that on our I40 Bluetooth/ 3.5mm input/ usb stick sound way better than the radio. The radio is utterly pathetic, it hisses and has really bad audio quality. Our Citroen xara picaso had a way way better radio that actually sounded fairly ok. But that also did not have any of the other input methods. The reception on the Xara Picaso was also a bit better with the I40 dropping out sometimes when in valleys or around trees. Its a shame since when running from local audio it sounds a lot better. The I10 is genuinely terrible in terms of audio. I dont have the vocabulary to describe just how bad the quality is. Im fairly sure i have heard better from 100 in 1 electronics kits etc.
I have a Sony CDX-GT210 head unit in my car. Aux, CD(with mp3 support at least) and radio. 4*45W outputs, no phonos for easy amp hookup but there are workarounds for that. Pretty simple unit really, but cost me £30 all in, that includes the fascia adapter kits for my car, antenna adapters etc.
Yay my police interceptor badge will get here today. Now I just need to decide what the hell to do with it. I also just figured out that my algebra teacher is a badass.
So after 11 years my ear ringing is finally gone. I forced them to pop and they popped. Absolutely no ringing.
Math teacher is going all out about "OMG Saturday is Pi DAY!!!!" and I'm laughing in my head about steak and BJ day.
