Re: General discussion chat Personally I'd go with a 1st gen because I like the boxier look. I used to have a husky but he died several years ago, he was very strong and hipper but well disciplined, I would always make sure he never jumped up on people. I hate it when dog owners just let there big dogs jump up at you . Yesterday I was looking around for an adjustable AC power supply when I came across a bunch of dog hair, I'm not sure whats sadder, remembering him, or the fact that this part of the house hasn't been cleaned in over 3 years lol .

Re: General discussion chat Right now just shopping around to try and find the best prices on stuff in my build. My dad still seems reluctant to let me build. He says "when school starts back you;re gonna have more important stuff to do than try and figure out how to build a computer" :| It's not rocket science. I'd like to keep this build under 650, and I still gotta buy a hard drive. Shipping will probably come out to a fair bit for all the parts. I looked on newegg and the i5 4570 is the same price as I've seen everywhere else, 195 bucks, but its free shipping, so I know where I'll be buying my processor. This is surprisingly time consuming, though. Checking prices for every part I have on different internet stores and shit.

Make it a bit better with a 270x and you can max most games at 1080p and keep 45fps while keeping it around $400. Change the pentium for a 4670k from microcenter and add 4GB of RAM and its an awesome machine for just over $550.

Re: General discussion chat yea true, of course if a small dog jumps up at you its very annoying, but if a big dog jumps at you then you either get your face coated in slobber or you get knocked down. Most people near were I live have small dogs and damn it gets annoying. The main reason is because my city has some retarded animal laws, basically any medium or large dog that isn't a Golden Retriever or a Labrador is considered dangerous, well except for its pond dogs of course . So this means that most people with "big dogs" including myself have additional fees to pay. I believe the main problem is that owners of small dogs don't like to enforce discipline or rules like owners of larger dogs do. I'm getting really ticked off at my neighbor who has 2 small dogs who bark constantly when me or my family is outside. It started about a year ago when they adopted their first dog, It's a mutt I'm not sure what it is but it looks a lot like a mini Border Collie or something. We talked to the neighbor shortly after they got the dog and they just kept going on about how great they were for adopting a shelter dog and how they were just gods gift to the universes and ect. . Well as I said it barks every time one of us are in our own yard. I tried to make friends with the dog, even offering it treats but all it wants to do is bark. So whats the solution? yep thats right get another dog... wait wait... WHAT! NO! GOD NO!! but they did and guess what, the new dog barks more then the 1st one . And its been this way for over a year now. (also what shelter gave this family the 2 dogs in the first place well they have lots of money so they must be great dog owners ) 4 days ago they finally hired a professional trainer... WHO'S A COMPLETE TOOL! My mom, who lived on a farm and has raised well over a dozen dogs and I were eating dinner in our back yard last night when we noticed that the trainer has no Fing clue what she is doing! lol FACE SMACK, never mind I'm just ranting now I'll stop, I will solve this tonight with some anti-freeze. Small dogs passing on the street are bad enough, having 2 next door is driving me crazy. Oh yea and for that dumb law we have, I think like 70-80% of dog bites in our town are caused by small dogs. We also have a neighbor with a large Boxer mix, but he almost never barks, and when he does its usually to get the other 2 to shut up . - - - Updated - - - Be sure to emphasize to your dad how educational building a computer is.
Re: General discussion chat I have a big-ish dog Just a tad smaller than most labs or retreivers. He's ok behaved. Hes crazy. We had a hard time breaking him of jumping on people though. Hes getting better. Hes pretty cool though. Clark's seen him.
Re: General discussion chat There's someone down the road who I mow lawns for. They have like 4 small dogs, a cat, and a cockatoo. He's a vet so I'm pretty sure they're all rescue dogs. Most of them are really cute and sweet but one of them is really territorial and barks like crazy every time I'm there. One time she bit my ankle.. We have two dogs. One is a black lab named Moose. He's around 5 and we adopted him from a rescue last year. He's really sweet but he smells awful since he got sprayed by a skunk yesterday. Our other dog is a 6 year old puggle named Meko. We got him when he was 7 months old from a single mom who was working and going to college. (She had zero time for taking care of him.) I love him but he barks at every single person who walks by our house. It's really really annoying. I try to keep him barking but usually I just kick him out of my room. We had a trainer come by and tell us what to do with him which helped with his behavior but pretty much nothing will stop him from barking at people. - - - Updated - - - Well, I ordered a new 1920x1200 panel and hinges for my beloved E6500. Now I just need these things to make it super duper awesome: New back thing that goes on the back of the screen since mine is scratched to hell New bottom cover because mine is missing one of the hooky things and part of it comes off a bit New base since the palmrest is scratched New pointing stick since I used this one so much that it's pretty much worn down 12 cell battery since the old used 9 cell isn't good enough Precision M4400 motherboard for Core 2 Extreme support and a better GPU (Plus this motherboard is developing some issues) Core 2 Extreme CPU I should probably replace the RAM too Basically I want to replace everything but the drives and the keyboard. (Actually, a backlit keyboard would be really cool.) EDIT: My D430 has a pretty annoying problem. It has a crappy GMA 945 and for some reason it's only running at 75% speed. I've reinstalled drivers, installed modded drivers, used GMABooster, turned off Throttlestop, etc. (It was working fine and this just randomly started happening.) It means that I can't stream anything in HD on it or else I get some bad lagging.
