Sick of the crap top, and just wondering if this is adequate for most games at decent FPS on 1080p? How can I get this down a bit in price? I need one of you computer whiz's to lend a hand. tried to pick the right parts at a decent price but don't want to go overboard. I know I can prolly go down on the RAM, and maybe use my old OS (Windows 7 sp1 x64)

    Re: General discussion chat

Yesterday my mom made me mow the lawn. For some reason (My brother) the battery was only outputting 2 volts. Had to jump start it twice because the first time I forgot to turn off the reverse safety thing while I was mowing.

Also, I can't wait for my stuff to arrive. I dunno if I posted this here before, but I ordered a peltier thermoelectric thing to play with. (And an IR thermometer.)

None. That PSU is overkill, and that GPU is really shitte for that CPU, and you don't really need to buy a OS.

nice...actually was looking at some of those parts too, guess on paper is misleading compared to RL performance. I need to do more research, but that's a good setup...nice price too. Would like to stay under 600, maybe just 1 8gig ram, etc. Would like to stick to AMD, since I have used their CPUs for over a decade and never had a problem, but 2x Intel of mine (and 2 or 3 of friends/family's intel chips) burnt out relatively soon, with no one OCing or anything. I have seen that CPU is pretty popular too, especially performance wise for the price too. thanks again!

You would be better 2x4GB if you do only 8GB RAM.

For the 8320 vs 8350, wouldn't it make sense to just spend the extra 20 or 30 bucks to get the 8350, (unless it doesn't overclock well, unreliable, etc). It makes more sense to me to get the 8350 8 core 4.0Ghz, more future proof IMO

It's the same CPU, the 8350 is only clocked higher for 500MHz, which you could achive on your 8320 without a problem.

Yep, I got an 8320. I'm running 4.2GHz right now and I've had it up to 4.8GHz.

The 8350 really isn't worth the extra cost at all.

Does that say "camel towing" on the door?
Can't decide if actual towing name or clever joke.
I hurt my heel pretty bad by jumping down a whole flight of stairs barefoot.

I want to punch that man right in the face for ruining a perfectly good rat rod with those horrible rims.
