Doing better than me, haha. Took three hours to finish the download for some reason. Something like 50GB were from the discs too... (imported from here)
Someone just went full copyright infringement on the google play store. They made beamng...well...not really. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.welg.mr&hl=en
You haven't seen their other game then https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.welg.bnc&hl=en These games have been on the play store for quite a long time. You can also find Minecraft 2 on the play store as well and its certainly not made by mojang.
I think I still win the price for slowest download though. When BeamNG 0.4 was released, Steam showed a download speed of 15kb/s, wich is slower than 2G (~40 kb/s to ~1mb/s)
My boyfriend bought some stupidly expensive stuff a week ago and can't afford to eat now. Am I a bad person if dumping him for being an idiot and not listening to me crossed my mind? How on earth does "When you see £100 in your bank, pretend it's £0 so you always have a hundred quid in an emergency" translate to buying a £200 graphics card? I've told him this multiple times already when he's been in this situation, and he wonders why we don't join our finances. He's so fundamentally terrible with money it's horrendous. How... how are people like this? and where can I hire a firing squad? Seriously, who else knows a crippling impulse buyer? how haven't you strangled them? Frustrating stories welcome, I'm really rather in the mood to hear more.
Im not too bad. I have savings which i basically dont touch which are perfectly good as an emergency fund and then i have "disposable" money which tends to be spent on either steam or hardware. Not that i really treat any of my money as disposable. But it tends to get spent on things fairly quickly depending on what things i want and how long it will take me to save up "disposable" money in order to buy them. But when i get to uni i will probably try out you need a budget since it is free for students.
same thing with my BF, except he was making 160K per year plus....however now he is looking to get another job and his spending habits have not changed at all, so yea, we are in the same boat lol my job is only able to support me and my car note, gas, food, and some cig/pot money. nit enuff to afford the 2900 per month mortage, the 750 per minth truck payment, all car insurance, hot water, electric etc. shits rough lol
What happens when you buy an old ass Sata II drive? It takes 11 minutes to move 5.3 gig. This whole entire "finally do something with all my crap" state of mind is going to kill me, I'm going to be moving folders until I die.
Goodbye floating point rounding issues. Hello increased processing time and memory utilisation (hence why the rounding issues displayed are considered acceptable in the vast majority of computer systems, except where money is concerned).
I miss my optical drive. I forgot to get rid of this Windows Vista installation so that I could use this drive for downloads. Doesn't matter what software I try using, Vista won't go away. Time for Linux.
So I have been an employee at this KIA dealership since february. It all went very well, everyone is really nice, and the business was booming. Lately, most likely due to the fact that graduations and school etc has ended and its the summer vacation months, sales have plummeted drastically since May. June was a nightmare, and July is not turning out any better. I have a job opportunity at a local Nissan dealer as a BDC rep there (business development - internet/phone sales, back end work etc). I was called by the BDC manager there requesting me to work there. That was over a week ago. I just spoke to her, and my resume impressed her actually, which I am pleased with. Now I am scheduled for an interview tomorrow at 9am, and that is when I make my decision to put my 2 weeks in here and go to Nissan. It is about 20 min from my house (which KIA is about 40 min, plus all highway traffic in the morning EVERY morning). The real thorn in my side is that KIA also dropped all the tier bonuses to a minimum.....If I got 30 customers to come in and BUY a car, I got a $400 bonus ON TOP of the 25 per car, plus my regular salary. So not too shabby (I hit 47 cars, which was a 500 bonus back in May). NOW, it's !!! 60 !!! cars for a $300 bonus...so that immediately ripped the desire to actually work right out of my body. PLUS, sales are really down, so you would think the managers would be more willing to offer great deals right from the jump, since we have TONS of price shoppers (going dealer to dealer). But no, they get a customer in the door, the salesperson goes thru 45min - 2 hours with them BEFORE they even GET numbers, THEN they proceed to write "1st pencil" (first numbers, first offer from the desk) at stupidly high numbers (like a Basic KIA Forte LX with $4000 "DOWN" plus Tax, Bank Fee, DMV, AND 1st Payment and the monthly payment is stupid high, like $400 per month...)just for the record, you can get (assuming you credit-qualify) a Forte LX for about 800 out of pocket, 209-250 per month. And people know this. So why are my "managers" doing it? So they can make shit loads of gross profit. I saw a credit-criminal leave here the other day with a 3 year old KIA Optima that had a price of 17,500, and he will ultimately be paying back OVER 40,000 DOLLARS. they have since called back and complained and now there are issues with other customers as a result. I think Im taking this nissan gig and RUNNING. For example, at Nissan, if I get 20 people thru the door that ultimately purchase or lease a car, thats a $2000 bonus, plus 20 per car. The bonuses are super high, and they are legit, since my old manager that was here at KIA was fired, he went to that nissan dealer and has since get me the "IN" at that dealer. He showed me his paystub for his bonus. I would literally be making 3 - 4X the money at Nissan, all while they have better products that people ACTUALLY want to buy instead of Chevy or KIA that people come in just to get the "cheapest" car/payment. Hate to break it to you, car shoppers, but KIA's are no less expensive than any other car. And their rebates/national incentives are no where near as competitive as Nissan, Toyota, Honda, shit even Jeep. A 2016 Sorento BASE MODEL is going for $304/mo for 3 years with Tax and DMV up front. The Mid-Level Grand Cherokee (with leather, BackUp Camera etc) is going for High 200's per month with the same terms/out of pocket. You think its a good idea for me to leave KIA? I like it here but I cant make any money and Im sick of these asshole customers that are no where near our location...We have our internet lead sources from Zip Codes that are over 2 hours away. Why? I cant take it. /rant
