Because they are absolute fucking lunatics who are happy to take the lives of the innocent to either get a thrill/ rush of adrenaline or to get their 15 minutes of infamy. If this arsehole doesn't die from his cowardous self inflicted gunshot wound, he should be sentenced to death by the firing squad. An eye for an eye.

He is said to be a former employee of the TV, colleague of the reporter and cameraman. Must've been personal.
A personal vendetta. Reports right now are saying that he's a disgruntled former employee, so it's pretty clear that he was on some mad revenge mission. It's also being said that he's in a critical condition after shooting himself after a chase. I hope he suffers.
People are complete idiots. They have no life and they think that this kind of stuff is "cool." It's just so stupid that people will do this kind of thing now. It used to be rare that this type of stuff happens but now if you go to Chicago or something, you hear about a shooting every couple of days. This world is coming to an end all right...
There should be an island-type thing where you send people who make bad jokes. A body of land easily accessible, yet isolated. Something like. A puninsula.
