Never said this mod would never come out, said it was postponed till solar finished the new gen 6, as it's easier to make bodies for. There is also some sort of compensation for this, and that's the modified mod that i announced just a week or two ago. That mod is way better than this, and is way more polished. --- Post updated --- Not to mention as I stated BEFORE, there is a completely new COT mod being in the works by someone different, but no go ahead and don't listen to the mod creator. --- Post updated --- One final thing, as stated before by Jumbuss, we do this for the art, and as a hobby. Modders are not one their computers 24/7 working on stuff like this. then for those of you who don't have enough common sense to check back on the forums for updates, and teasers. this is the one currently being worked on by the new lead modder.
If it's as easy as you say it is, then it shouldn't require being on your pc 24/7 to finish it in a reasonable amount of time in the first place. Edit: I don't believe the modified mod to be compensation, as I and I think many others would much rather have something from a higher series, such as another era of the cup series. Or even Xfinity or Trucks.
While it is easy, it takes time to complete. The Ford and Toyota mod took 4 months to complete, and that was before I had other real life things to worry about, like work, racing, and school. --- Post updated --- With me now being much more active, and having a racing career, i work on these when I can, and so far most of my week is school, work, and racing. Only free day that I have, is Sunday, and that goes to watching the cup race and working on my racecar.
So the Ford and Toyota mod took 4 months to complete. Meanwhile, this one was started in January and still hasn't been completed. And this is with even less differences between the 4 manufacturers all together than the 2 in the Ford and Toyota mod. That does not add up to me.
With me now being much more active, and having a racing career, i work on these when I can, and so far most of my week is school, While this mod was started in January, it wasn't even my main focus the Ford and Toyota were. Not to mention even though all of the bodies are similar in real life. The UV maps for the models aren't, which makes it to where all 4 bodies are required to be put into the game on its own. Like I said as well, the Ford and Toyota was started before I raced IRL, had School, and Work to worry about.
Here's a large part of the problem as well: Many of your posts and updates are either vague or have no information at all. We don't even find anything out until someone starts getting annoyed. Then, in responses, you give out all of this information that we either were never told or was lost in the post's vagueness. The only reason I can see for this is that you're trying to make the other person seem as if they're less intelligent or simply don't know what they're talking about, when they never had the opportunity to find out in the first place. I have been observing for a while, and I've witnessed it happen here, and in the discord server. If the modding itself isn't the problem, then this is for sure. I apologize if I sound rude, but this is just what I've realized over time.
I do! If the person that I'm simply correcting or giving my response too seems less intelligent when I don't try to do that does, then they probably are less intelligent. I've stated what's happening with this mod around 3-4 times now, and people still argue with me, and decide to just skip over what I said, and believe the exact opposite of what I plan to do with this mod.
It seems you have skipped over something I said as well. I said that many of your posts are too vague or contain no real information at all. If you simply put more information in your posts, you wouldn't have so many people asking all the time. It is not due to someone else being less intelligent or skipping over your posts, it's your failure to tell them what's actually going on until they ask directly. If you're gonna run it that way then you need to stop getting annoyed at people when they ask.
Just like you, I've been paying attention to this project for quite some time on both here, and the discord. While yes what you say is somewhat true to a certain extent. What you're saying about his vagueness is just not true in my eyes. I think what he's stated about the mod was quite clear. He stated that this mod in particular was being postponed due to Solar (the creator of the gen 6 mod that this mod is using as a basis) re-creating said gen 6 mod to make it better. This is something that should be understood quite easily. Not to mention, he's stated multiple times that someone else has now taken responsibility for this mod, in other words, it is no longer Pawshore's problem. I actually agree with this to an extent. Pawshore could have definitely handled this whole thing a lot better, while he is still not under any obligation to give us anything. He could have handled it better, like having Jumbuss open a new thread since he's the one working on the COT mod now. That would have pretty much dissipated most, if not, all of the arguments/begging these guys have been doing in this thread. Once Pawshore made it clear that someone else was working on the mod or when he officially postponed this to wait for Solar's new gen 6 remaster to come out, people should have simply left all alone and be patient. At this point, I see no reason for people to still be begging for the mod to come out. Sure, he could release what he's currently got (as far as what we've seen on youtube) out as a beta, I agree that he probably should do that. But like I've said, he is under no obligation to do that at all. I feel like I am one of the few people in this thread and in the discord who is actually being patient and understanding of the situation. The guy's got life to deal with, if he says he can only be on his computer one day of the week, then I see no reason why I shouldn't believe him. If he says he's going to resume work on this mod once Solar's new remaster comes out, so he can make a cleaner, better version of what he once worked on, then I see no reason why I shouldn't believe him. Just be patient guys, if he doesn't want to release what he's already got as a beta, then there's no amount of begging or crying that is going to make him change his mind, it just plugs this thread up with dozens of unnecessary amounts of pages, and simply drops the overall quality of the thread by a significant margin. It's no wonder why some people are unable to find information regarding this mod on this thread, because it gets filled up with about 3 pages of unnecessary posts before another actual informative post comes forth.
you want an update, here it is, im gettin tired of you guys, you don't wanna wait nothing, every week is the same, where is a date release, when. All of the NASCAR cups mods, are based on the Camaro mod, and im thankful for that mod, Solar is working on a mayor remaster, we got the blend files ready for the day that will come out. but im tired of this, im already quit when i released the port of ntg, is just not funny anymore. im login out after this reply
