I'm curious, when do you think you'll finish this map. I know this map must take a long time to make, but I am curious to know how long a map like this would take to finish, It looks really good from what you already have shown.
Dorf 4 bzw. Kleinstadt ist fast fertig, aber bin mit dem Parkhaus nicht zufrieden. Verbesserungen werden stattfinden. Village 4 or small town is almost finished, but I'm not satisfied with the parking garage. Improvements will be made. --- Post updated --- I assume that the map would have been finished by now if I were doing it full time. I can not estimate how long it will take. Probably a few months or even years.
die map sieht zwar bis jetzt gut aus und ich will ja nicht nur rumnörgeln (das mach ich hier im forum schon genug) aaaaaber ein paar sachen muss ich doch loswerden: warum hat ein so kleines dorf überhaupt ein parkhaus? ein gemeindeparkplatz oder ähnliches wäre da glaube ich angebrachter. die straßen kommen mir auch etwas seltsam vor, ich hab noch nie gesehen, dass so ein dorf (fast) überall fahrbahnmarkierungen oder bürgersteige auf beiden seiten der straße hat. es gibt da noch ein paar kleinigkeiten, aber ich will auch nicht über alles mögliche ins detail gehen, das wäre denke ich unnötig. falls es dich doch interessiert bin ich für weitere besserwisserei jedoch gerne verfügbar
Meine bescheidene Meinung: Richtig gute Maps brauchen nicht in allen Punkten realistisch zu sein. Das ist aufgrund der Größenverhältnisse sowieso nicht machbar. Es ist nur die Frage ob es sich realistisch anfühlt. Und zwar nicht von oben sondern aus dem Auto. Gut ist, was gut aussieht und Spaß macht. Ob der Gemeinderat das durchwinkt obliegt einzig der Fantasie des Autors... Tolle Arbeit! Ich kann mir vorstellen, es macht jetzt schon richtig Laune über die Map zu brettern...
Das mit dem Parkhaus kann ich dir da vollkommen zustimmen, ich selber bin sehr unzufrieden damit und überlege mir da was anderes hinzubauen. Was mich auch stört, dass es fast kein Dorf mehr ist, sondern eher diese Kleinstadt feeling hat. Zudem ist das "Dorf" viel kleiner geworden als geplannt. Ich kann natürlich die Texturen so anpassen, dass da ein paar Straßen ohne Fahrbahnmakrierung sind. I completely agree with you about the parking garage, I'm very unhappy with it myself and am thinking about building something else there. What also bothers me is that it's almost no longer a village, but has more of a small town feeling. The "village" has also become much smaller than planned. Of course, I can adjust the textures so that there are a few streets without road markings.
