Nope, they weren't. You can see the textures, but if there are two textures next to each other, there is a sharp edge, which looks really bad. I realized how much time it takes and that's why I didn't do it. Also, I don't know how to make PBR textures properly.
PS: Danke an @VinsWie für das vorabtesten der deutschen Kennzeichen (Sieht man im Video) English: I have continued to work on the map and have expanded the vegetation and fields. At the moment I'm working on 2 highway gas stations. Highway signs are also being added and a construction site has been added. PS: Thanks to @VinsWie for pre-testing the German license plates (You can see it in the video)
it might just be me but i feel like the road markings on the autobahn are a bit bigger than they should be like in comparison to that bmw i feel like theyre almost the size of the car which i dont think is supposed to be the case
idk from the one trip ive had to germany (I was on the A12 for a majority of it) the roadmarks seemed much shorter and more frequent not to mention them being way skinnier
As a German, I think the size of the roadmarks is pretty accurate but I think it depends on which vehicle you're driving on the Autobahn with. Every time I go on the Autobahn in my dad's car (a lot "smaller(?)" than our family car), I'm always surprised at how large the markings appear compared to driving for example with my grandpa's truck. That might be a reason why they appeared smaller to you
True, however I still feel like theres just something off with the markings? It probably is the thickness of it since looking at stuff like google maps the center line seems way less thick compared to the map ref: --- Post updated --- i really cant pinpoint my finger on it since interchange lanes are also pretty thick irl but like something just feels off about them on the map
maybe a bit, but I think that this might also be what I mentioned with StreetView cars, as their cameras are pretty much at semi-truck cabin height
That might be the case, however I feel like they could still be slimmed down a little bit since it just really feels unnatural with that size to me
As far as I know, they are 50 cm wide, so I tried to make them 50 cm wide as well. But I can make them narrower to make them look better. Forget it, according to google it is actually 30cm wide. Thanks for the info
I have adjusted the width of the lanes. The side stripes are 0.3cm and the middle stripes are 0.15cm (Wikipedia). In addition the middle strips are 6m long and have a gap of 12m as in rl.
