Re: Golf Cart BETA V1.0 Damn it, you bet me to it. I was just about to post this. Glad I'm not the only one that noticed this
Re: Golf Cart BETA V1.0 Ill guess ill be third to second that problem. Never mind got it working, follow the post above this one if you have the same problem.
Re: Golf Cart BETA V1.0 Love this wee thing. One thing I've noticed, none of the cameras actually point straight? They're all looking to the right a bit too much.
Re: Golf Cart BETA V1.0 300HP, AWD, 4 Gears.... = Hahaha... (imported from here) And hell yes it fits in the bed of the D-series, I got some air in the truck going 70MPH with the cart stuck in the roll cage like this: (imported from here) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2qdMR-WW9U This cart is so much f-ing fun.
Re: Golf Cart BETA V1.0 Now that it's working I love it It's hilarious seeing the beer bottle and golf bags go flying in a crash My only suggestions would be to maybe make the tires narrower and see if you can give it a bit more steering lock. Also, if it's supposed to be electric, the torque curve should look something like this: (imported from here) If I remember correctly electric motors make max torque at 0 rpm and decrease from there. Oh, and the suspension is pretty stiff. I've never driven a real golf cart so I can't say with any authority if it's wrong but it might drive better with softer suspension. I think the tire reinforcement pressure and spring might also be too stiff - the tire isn't deflecting/flexing enough in cornering, which is putting lots of stress on the suspension. Another thing: the camera(s) aren't centered; they seem to be offset and angled a bit. Check and make sure your ref nodes are making a perfect right triangle. I usually use floor nodes for mine; if you use floor nodes it shouldn't be a problem to move them to form a perfect right triangle so the camera is happy. The driver's seat cam seems slightly mispositioned too related to the steering wheel. Oh, and you might want to rename the front wheels "Civetta Bolide Front Wheels" Maybe clean up all your part names, fix up the capitalization and stuff, and also add a name.cs to the vehicle's folder so it has a proper name in the selection menu. We have code in there that removes the name of the vehicle from the part name in the configurator if it's repeated a lot, so if you put a consistent name like "Golf Cart" in the beginning of every part name it won't show up in the configurator, making it much easier to read the part names
Re: Golf Cart BETA V1.0 Heh, I actually have a lot of time behind the wheel of a golf cart. Long story. Their suspension is on the soft side, definitely. Very mushy and comfortable, lots of weight. The tires are also very soft and mushy, even with proper tire pressure. This golf cart as it is right now seems very light and jittery, the suspension is stiff, finicky and sensitive. The wheels seem stiff, like hotwheels plastic toy wheels. The steering lock is ok...but could be better. Having said that, I've experimented on my own files and accomplished most of these tweaks, except for a little more weight. Currently I have it pretty close to, "I feel like I'm driving a golf cart, awesome".
Re: Golf Cart BETA V1.0 Awesome cart! This little wee thing drives great, this is the only time I got this far since I bought the game. (imported from here) Only thing I'd change the the front camera, I'm not to much liking that front camera, but everything else I LOVE!
Re: Golf Cart BETA V1.0 thank you very much! I still have much work to do yet, but you can have fun with! suddenly I got a lot of advice from you!. special thank to Gabester and Sleepy - - - Updated - - - this is not me,is Sleepy change my cart. I do not want to publish it, as it is still in Beta. many update are to follow. - - - Updated - - - the engine is not electric, the gas version exists
Re: Golf Cart BETA V1.0 I said something facepalmingly stupid (or rather replied to something from the previous page) and then couldn't find the delete button. Didn't have the cart downloaded at the time either so I didn't really have anything productive to say. ANyway. Now I do have the cart downloaded. Quite a laugh although it seems to me that the gear ratio in the 2nd speed on the 2 speed transmission is identical to the gear ratio of the single speed transmission.
Re: Golf Cart BETA V1.0 Oh okay could you at least get something like a AWD system and ton more power out of it..
Re: Golf Cart BETA V1.0 -there will be a version with 4x4 Off-road model. for now I'm concentrating on finishing the basic model for it to be perfect! after then I'll start creating another version - - - Updated - - - haha okey. with the transmission 1 speed you drive at 15 mph with the transmission 2 speed you drive at 30 mph
Re: Golf Cart BETA V1.0 such a laugh XD, i used the ai mod and had 3 going at each other, i had at least one roll every 1 minute, at one point all three rolled near enough at the same time such awesomeness
Re: Golf Cart BETA V1.0 My mistake, I somehow selected 2 speed in both of my tests, which I can get to 40.
