I have a Radeon HD5870. Fuck knows if they're still good but by now you can get one cheap and it does a fine job of running BeamNG even with it's funky graphical optimization. Just be sure to disable postFX but the SSAO looks shit anyway.

The 5870 is still a decent GPU. It's faster than mine ( 7770 ). That second number means everything.

My GPU is a Palit GTX 750 Ti StormX OC (the one with just one fan) and I can run BeamNG on ultra at 900p, coupled with an i7 2600. I recommend you that GPU, very cheap and powerful.
