    Hello !

I was hesitating between an SSD and a gpu, but I figured out a new GPU was more important, but since I don't know much on GPU I'm comming here for suggestions !
    Here's my actual config :

    -Motherboard : Asrock H81M-DGS r2.0
    -8 go ram DDR3
    -CPU : I5 4460 3.2 GHZ
    -GPU : Sapphire 5770HD Vapor-x (1go)

I have a budget of around 200€, I'm more in AMD GPU personally.
I was thinking that the Sapphire rx480 would be a good choose, but there's like 8 differents model of them so... Yeah...

    Thanks for your suggestions !

I've seen a lot of good reports about this model reviewed here:

The XFX RX 480 GTR - seems to have the best PCB and cooling system out of all 480s

I don't know much about current AMD GPU numbering, but performance level of 1060 Nvidia in AMD form will do quite nicely, 1050 Ti level will do fine too, but not max details at 1080p on every map.

This indicates that RX470 might have suitable performance level, but will it fit to your budget?

There is comparison to RX 480, price of 470 according to page is 109€ on Amazon, which is ridiculously low price from that performance level:

I'm not at all against having a GTX, tbh I don't care, it's just that I'm used to AMD GPU.
As said I have a budget of around 200€, (210 would be fine ^^)
So you would recommend be the 470 ? What do you think about the Sapphire Radeon RX 470 Nitro+ OC - 4 Go ? It seems genuinely better better than the 1060 after reading tests.

I must say that I don't have any experience from those, but many run them and are happy with it and that seems to be quite good price / performance ratio.

Sapphire looks nice with two fans, single radial fan is going to be noisy setup so that Sapphire surely has that part sorted out.

With AMD it looks like you will get more performance for spent euro so I guess there is not arguments against it.

I have had only Nvidia cards after Radeon 9700 Pro which had lot of glitches in 2D despite hype that such would no longer be problem with Ati, so I can honestly say I have no idea about current AMD cards, with all my Nvidia cards I haven't had issues really, only issue with too little money to get anything properly fast.

If you can handle the noise, the Sapphire Nitro is a pretty good workhorse for this game as well as others. It is on sale at newegg for $205. I own this card and just did a few benchmarks. I highly suggest you pick one up before the sales end. Also if you want to go for the 4 gig one it is about $180 on sale via newegg.

    My benchmarks: https://www.beamng.com/threads/rx-4...t-rally-dirt-3-half-life-2.37513/#post-561890

    I highly recommend this card.

    I don't care about noise x)

It's weird because here, this gpu cost around 270-280 € for some reason (Around 300$ !) http://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00212998.html

There's the lite 4go version too (Sapphire NITRO Radeon RX 480 4G (UEFI) Lite) which cost around 210 €
I don't really know what's the difference between the 470 and the 480 since they cost pretty much the same price.
because there's the Sapphire NITRO Radeon RX 470 4GD5 too

If your choice is a nvidia card after all this remember b-stock on evga's site. Nicely priced cards on there

Well, the RX480 is overall faster than the 470, so if you have a deal on a 4 or 8 gig 480 for THAT price, go for it. Its enough Vram for most games in 2017 in 1080p and the card offers a really solid performance.
And yes, GPU prices are overall just fucked up currently, so just pick the best you can get.

That price difference is weird, as far as the 470 goes the proccecing unit is a little bit weaker, less cuda cores and clock speed, but would probably run beamng fine at 1080p

Most of my computer is second hand, only my CPU and the case aren't. I don't really care at the moment it's working well. It's just hard to find the right piece at the right moment.

I'm seriously interested in the Sapphire nitro+ rx480 4go now.

I'll see! Thanks all for your suggestions!

I'd check out the 8gb model aswell, a solid card otherwise.

I think it is insanely awesome to play BeamNG.drive in a Dell Inspiron 3650 which has a 4GB Ram and Intel Intergrated Graphics. LOL. (I use high textures, normal mes, low lightning & no shadows)

How many FPS do you get? For people who don't know, my brother bought the 480 8go, and he sold me his Sapphire 7950 vapor-x. I run Beamng on high+dynamic reflections at 50-60 fps, so I'm happy with it ^^

I try to go for 60 and it actually worked without smooth graphics. It lags a little bcs it consumes too many storage.
