I have an R7 260x, and it is a great card. Good price, too.

If I were to build a computer right now I wouldn't get an optical drive nor a sound card. And the OS.... you know....cheaper ways.... oh and get 8.1.

Why no optical drive??? It needs to be able to read discs. And I was getting a sound card because I have the Logitech Z506 which is better with the orange, black and green inputs rather than just stereo inputs. And I was looking for a cheaper OS but they all seemed to be weird back up ones or dell ones etc.

In my case I don't use discs. Most of my games are digital, and I made .iso files of all my old games in discs long ago. My motherboard has 6 inputs for audio, grey, black, orange, pink, green, blue.

You will need an optical drive to install the actual OS from,

    No, I installed my last 3 OS (Win7, Win8 and Win8.1) from a USB.

Ok, so I just went back to Currys PC world, I didn't get anything, but got help with the warranty. He said that the warranty won't be void with them if I upgrade. Their warranty is so good that even if there is a fitting error (Something like break a pin on the MB) the knowhow warranty is still valid. So I don't have to be playing games on max settings, but medium would be nice, but with my current GPU I can't even play lowest without lag on a map like Dry Rock or Winter Derby. So I'm probably gonna go with the R7 250x. I don't wanna have to buy awesome cards that will 'reverse the bottleneck' (CPU will then hold GPU back if I get a better GPU) so if the R7 is ok, then I'll go for that. If not, I need a cheap card. Thanks all for your help.

Ok, so now I need a GPU and PSU. Don't have to be playing on max settings, just low-medium at a good framerate. R7 250x/7770 is what I'm probably gonna get with a decent PSU. Need it very soon. Can anyone suggest a PSU and if not the R7 then what cheap GPU that won't bottleneck my CPU. Thanks! =D

Anyone? If no one replies then I'll just go with the R7 250X/7770 and hope for the best.
