My mind keeps trying to give me hope since Torque3D has GI in its latest version.. the BGE_COCONUT references, which also seems to utilize tonemap_ACES_fitted.h and also the letters PBR in a row found in one single file contributes to that "what if"-feeling :-O
Then again if BeamNG is using an outdated version of Torque3D, updating it may screw over the physics and scripting
For all the folks saying the difference is barely noticeable/the mod does nothing, This video will show how significant the mod actually is. It does more than just bloom, it changes the way the whole graphics look, from every little detail down to texture saturation at a certain time of day, to filling in spots where tonemapping is weak. Enjoy the video
If Dave showed this to me, i wouldn't install it. Your version is for some reason looks toxic coloured
You're using AL14 here (according to the video), which is not publicly released yet. Maybe make a comparison video because vanilla lighting, AL13, and AL14.
@cheems_samurai Thanks for the comparison! It does look much colder than on my monitor BUT that might be on my end or its codec related when recording the vid It does look different compared to my version of AL14 but i think we can assume its codec related. If you want it test it out its HERE And yes, thats a sneak release of the test version. Im testing things and want to gather input from as many folks as possible, to see how different people experience it. So far ive had comments on it being too dark, not too dark, too colorful, just right amount of color and so on. Please give your input too, that way i know what will be the golden middle road for this.
Hmm. Strange. I installed it the way you did in your vid, must be monitor settings or something. --- Post updated --- These are all the default levels and times for me. Gotta say industrial map looks really close the default graphics, may be something on my end. Is there anything wrong with it?
Ive looked at the screenshots on different monitors and i think that it looks too cold, not too bright for AL14 On my end it has more colors (using HDR monitors that is), brightness is on point but looks off due to the colder feel. I encourage more ppl to test AL14, and give opinions: AL14 test version <--- Click here, sends you to the file on my google drive
I decided to make some screenshots (without any editing or in-game filters) to showcase the AL14 beta release.
Ah. The pictures I took are using the AL14 download link that is 2 posts above mine, so yeah, there are some changes from AL13.
These are all the default levels and times for me. Gotta say I am using a warmer color setup on my monitor so I would think it looking colder would be the opposite of what it should look like. Pretty strange but nonetheless, the mod is amazing!
Looking at the screenshots with my HDR monitor sure makes it look less cold and might be looking just right! Ill need to do some more testing cause i see why ppl would say it looks bright, although for me, on my other monitors, its not too bright, only too cold
