I've been playing since around 3PM. My luck must've ran out because I can't get back on now. Two of my friends are still in a game, though.
yep the who mp this is currently (excuse my french) FUCKED as it would seem and when i was on it it was very boring its just like sp but worse. - - - Updated - - - dude i wait 1.5 hours
I've been trying off and on for the past 12 hours. Does not work. Can't do the first tutorial race mission. Sat in a lobby with a few guys waiting for it to connect/load and chatting for an hour before shutting off my console.
Has there ever been a big multiplayer game launch in recent times that actually went to plan? They all seem to suffer from some manner of catastrophic server/connection issue, the more popular the game, the more likely the problems. I think we all secretly suspected that even with the server infrastructure Rockstar would have put in place for the October launch, the sheer volume of people all trying to play at once would cause problems. And it has. And be honest, it wasn't entirely unexpected was it. Although I can appreciate that trying to predict likely loading and server usage is tricky, for a game the size of GTA with the budget it has and the full knowledge that its one of the biggest (the biggest?) game launch of 2013, there isn't really an excuse for this level of broken multiplayer chaos.
There is no excuse, the game has sold millions in 2 weeks, what were they expecting? 10 players online on day 1? come on...
I agree with elements of that - there will be problems that are harder to foresee when launching a multiplayer title, so a few glitches are often to be expected, so yes, patience is the only answer. However, server capacity should not be an issue, especially for a game as big as GTA. Its obvious to all that GTA will sell multiple millions and that it is a guarantee that you will have multiple millions of people all trying to log in at once to play the game on the launch day you've been hyping. So to run into issues with capacity or servers overloading/stress, whatever, is not acceptable, given how obviously foreseeable the issue is. I can forgive the other bugs to an extent, but I don't expect to see Rockstar claiming sheer volume of players as a root cause of any issues at any level.; it should have been easily foreseen and planned for.
Well... Online Mode on Xbox works fine for me,but sometimes i have the issue, that my car cant do any faster, than the normal traffic cars, and then there are moments, where i can just speed through LS
It's been working fine on PS3 for some hours now. Except I was level 5 and now my character is gone it's asking to create a new one, wtf?
I hope so, because in my rage attempt to play online again I created 2 or 3 characters more ahaha, I hope I don't lose my main one.
Yes, I played for a few hours last night and got an absolutely awesome car(Schwartzer) and made it my personal car(had a Zion before) after robbing like, all the stores on the whole map. And I got a cool as hell character... I just hope it doesn't get erased again because I will punch a baby... rabbit.
Yep I had a good 3 hour session last night, managed to connect straight away with no delays. Had a good session with 3 other people going through some deathmatches, races, survivals. No lag, no disconnects just some awesome multiplayer game play!
I've been playing for some time too, the only thing is I lost my character, I had to start over, but the money is still there
