Had my first crash! Went to voice chat under options and it froze. I also noticed my disc is being used 99%. Something called "Service Host: Local system". The Draw Distance is amazing. The view from my Apartment. This is on "Normal" settings.
Do I see this right? No anti-aliasing? Not GTA 4 again, surely... Please tell me this is an option you can enable and disable... Can you show me a pic with these settings and anti-aliasing enabled? I refuse to play this game without anti-aliasing... Even if I have to run it on low.
Steam support have told me to cancel installation of GTA5 and redownload from scratch. Fucking great. Preorder a game, preload the game. Don't get to play it until days after launch thanks to a steam bug.
Way faster than my internet so count yourself lucky. Besides, I'm still stuck on allocating disk space right now.
I'm gonna leave my computer working and I hope that when I come back from school tomorrow the download will be finished.
Turns out you dont need a high end pc, running on the R9 270x and got almost everything maxed out and still get silky smooth 60fps
hmmmm, i wonder if i'll be able to run it (i could run gta iv at 45fps with lowest possible everything including resolution (i had it at 800x600 i believe), i'm willing to go as low as 13 fps before it's just to low (usually my limit is about 20, but for gta v i'll go lower))
That is the most boring bike rack I have ever scene. If you guys decide to broadcast, add me on steam (same name). This is probably the GTA I will miss. I have been a fan forever, but I just do not see it yet.
For those of you still waiting for that 5gb patch update thing at 20kb/s: Cancel the update. Download these and throw them in the right folder. Done. They're the files the update patch thing downloads, just reuploaded at a place that does have decent servers. I downloaded them at 1.6mb/s a few hours ago. I can comfirm that it 100% works for me with zero faults, though I haven't tried online yet(the files are all online DLC), but I did complete character transfer from the PS3 and have seen all the DLC cars driving around. Speaking of which, anyone know if it's possible to transfer savegames? I swear I read that somewhere, but now I can only find info on how to do the Online character transfer... That said, I'm gonna start over anyway because I missed out on the off-road lifted Mesa jeep thing... Forgot to take one in the missions, didn't realise I couldn't get them later on... Also, the Asea car thingy, the unique car from one of the missions, now regularly spawns in traffic. Kinda weird. I have to say I'm completely bummed out that R* encrypted the whole game into RPF files. No handling.dat anywhere. The sole reason I got the pc version for, is so I could put the GTA 4 handling back into GTA 5 and actually enjoy the game. However, apparantly the guys from OpenIV are adding support for the RPF files so we can unpack and repack them or something. And I'm sure a bunch of other good modders are working on it. I'm also getting some very strange stuttering. Game runs fine at 40-50fps on settings I can live with, but then it just stutters sometimes, without even dropping frames. I started lowering things and am now using far less VRAM than I actually have(like, 1GB vs 1280MB), and it still does it... Also WAY fewer vehicles around than in the PS3 version which really bugs me, but this is changable in the options. I'm quite confused how on my machine, which is slightly better/on par with the PS4, I can BARELY make the game look as good as it did on the PS3, except for textures(which are a lot better) and vegetation(more of it...)...? Some other thing I don't like: The texturing filtering is REALLY bad on some roads. You know how in BeamNg, you could see a line across the center of the cars if you looked at it from a small angle? Yeah, this happens with roads a LOT in GTA. It's super noticable. And anisotropic filtering doesn't seem to help for it :/
For the first part: Do you have the latest AMD or Nvidia GTA V optimised driver? Try downloading that, and try checking the advanced graphics settings in the game. If they're on they're a big FPS killer. Traffic density for me is higher than the PS4/XB1 version so make sure your slider hasn't reset. As for the second part: Have you made sure texture filtering is definitely on? Once again, it's perfectly fine for me, and for me the options had a tendency to reset at first. Make sure it hasn't turned itself off. Also: http://youtube.com/watch?v=hUeNf_1t9xg
"Normal" is as low as you can go, so yes, it's on low. The settings are Normal, High, Very High, with some also going to Ultra. High/Very High would be medium.
The more I play GTA V the more disappointed I am with the handling. I can't wait for a physics mod. The overall driving in IV was better. V has those weird tire spinning physics that don't feel natural at all. Every car has ABS regardless of age. Even muscle cars have 5-speeds. Never mind the fact that all the damn cars feel the same. Brakes are way to strong to. Need the GTA IV handling with moderately stiffer springs.
