Good idea! Either M-series Cosmo or H-series Cosmo sounds great.

The length is needed to fit a single sliding door.

[DELETED] (I just realized it makes sense to be called the M-Series Cosmo, ha)

Will the interior be changed at all? I think that it should be a bit nicer and more family friendly with cupholders and extra items, instead of the original passenger / cargo fullsize utility van the H-Series is. In simple terms, I think that the M-Series Cosmo should have more unique things than just a shortened body to differentiate it from the H-Series.

I think so, I'm also gonna make alternative version of rear doors with plate mounted to them
for now it's gonna be just H-Series cosmo, since it will be part of H series selector instead of separate car

I parked D and H series side by side and it appears that the early D series dash panel will fit H series without any problem, just needs some lifting and rotating. Also D series early mirrors would be a perfect fit.

That looks pretty good but still looks too long compared to real Astro. Also I love the plate mounted rear door idea, very cosmo.

Base for further work is ready, I don't know if I will be able to make sliding doors, so it's using vanilla ones now.

    Stuff to do:
-Improving body jbeam (cause it's clipping with body)
    -Fixing shading issues
    -New taillights
    -Finishing rear interior
-Some changes to front part of interior
    -Lettering
-Setting up trims system to fit with H-series ones
    -New engines
    -New front fascia maybe (?)
    -Glass

I'm probably gonna move to new thread soon, I will notify here

Wow! It's alive. I am excited to be able to drive this one day.

As for the sliding door I don't think it needs to slide or open. Can't you just delete the smaller side door and all four hinges and than extend the larger side door to right size ?

It still would require new jbeam, cause they would just act like normal doors (imagine nearly half of the car opening like that). I will try to figure out something cause I never done it before, it will be nice to finally learn it

Yeah, that wouldn't look good. By the way do side doors actually open in the game ? I was only able to open rear doors before. I don't know how Jbean works but perhaps you can eliminate the side door function completely and save lots of time.

wow. its one of the only suggestions that are actually being made. Will it be a separate vehicle?

it's going to be H series, not many changes to make it completely separate vehicle

I'd like to see an equivalent to the Astro/Safari vans. Though, due to the fact the Gavril line of trucks only has the V8s and the inline 6, I take it this would only have the straight 6? I figure a little 4 banger would be ideal for a vehicle like this on top of the 4.1L; it would mirror the Astro/Safari's use of a straight 4 and the 4.3 V6. Does Gavril have a line of 4 pots? I am not aware of there being one though I could be mistaken.
