Also, when I stand in front of people to make a presentation, I can't remember anything that I memorized because I was overly nervous and stiffened my neck muscles (so unnatural neck movements)
i hate how modern cars have tv's in the center and as a tach/speedo instead of a normal cd radio, and mechanical tach/speedo. Its pointless, expensive, will fail as all the screens are Chinese garbage, and i cant fix it. My Mazda has a center screen and Bluetooth and i hate it i miss my 96 thunderbird with its original basic radio and aux port. Most of the time my Bluetooth im my 14 mazda 6 glitches and wont play audio right(cuts the gps voice off short or just plain wont play any sound) and i have to mess with it for 20 minuets and turn my car on and off to get the gps or my music to work then it usually doesnt and i get pissed off, rage, call the car a peice of crap, curse mazda for making this hunk of junk, and just drive without it my good mood ruined. My thunderbird i just plugged in my phone or put a CD in and it worked 100% of the time. My08 ram with a aftermarket touch screen radio installed is also a nightmare and pisses me off.
Welcome to the future. It's only downhill from here. I have a serious hate for new technology because somehow, it's a huge mess and yet everybody will put up with it... so it's going to get worse. I think at some point I'm going to make a rant about every single new piece of technology, because wow I wish it were not this way. There's a reason I don't use social media, after all! And a lot of the products I buy are not new. I've got a legitimate question for everyone: if you wanted to make the progress of technology go backward, would you do it? I absolutely would. In fact, I think everyone should seriously consider doing that. Just because it's a new thing does NOT mean it's better! And at what point do you stop and go forward again? My answer would probably be within the 1990s. Yeah, yeah, I know, nostalgia (especially for something you never experienced) can be quite a strong feeling, but at this point how do you convince me that a world with social media destroying people's mental health, people deciding to completely give up their creativity to AI, today's children being very stupid because they prefer their iPad to actually learning, being required to scan a QR code to see a mall's hours or a restaurant's menu (in April, I went on a trip to see the eclipse-- I found a small town gas station that required you to scan a QR code to see the price of chips!), streamers spending tens of thousands of dollars just to be bad at games and laugh at people's words that they left in the Twitch/YouTube chat (and nothing else), YouTubers completely forgetting how to make videos in a way that doesn't feel like they're forcing you, or the YouTuber is being forced, to do something, and corporations forgetting what good graphic design looks like... is a good world? It's not. It shouldn't be this way.
I mean, I have wondered why @trm7 of all people has a newer Mazda with white wheels on it, seeing as his profile picture is a Corvette, he had a Thunderbird, and he wishes he still had his dad's old Dentside Ford... I see your point, yes.
The reason when my family consider to get a new car in 2021 I highly recommend Buick LaCrosse 3 years ago you can hardly get a midsize/fullsize car without big screen EXCEPT that one in China. Now even this one got a facelift and equipped with new big center screen lol
so this is a super obscure issue and afaik it's unique to my computer setup, but sometimes when i leave beam running overnight to save my progress and put my pc to sleep, it turns itself "on" even though there aren't any displays up, and the only way to get it back open is to hold the power button and restart it. it's really annoying and unpredictable
I personally do not like the fact that they have been recently replacing the physical gauges with screens, as there is no way to tell your speed if said electronics fail. I also am worried about steer by wire, as if that fails, you have no steering.
I hate that the Google app for iOS moves around the tabs for no reason and there’s no option to turn it off (I have done tabs open for mods to try later and tabs for other things, I like to have the mod tabs at the bottom but the app moves them to the top ) and this isn’t related to anything else going on here
time for a controversial opinion i hate lifted trucks. No its not the safety I couldn't care less about that. Its that their ugly and only make the truck look and perform worse. Now i dont mind purpose built mud trucks, pre runners, or crawlers but you know what kind of truck im talking about. Most lifted trucks to me dont look good to me they look trashy to me and 90 percent of em will barely see dirt if any. They're like the riced out stanced civic of the truck world. Not to mention the driver of said trucks are always the worst no blinker speeding a million miles an hour(in a lifted high center of mass truck smart... NOT). It doesnt really bother me to bad unless its a classic. The amount of what would be nice 70s-80s fords, and chevy square bodies ruined by a lift and big ass wheels and tires that stick way past the fenders saddens me deeply. Hers some prime examples of the type of ugly lifted truck i see around me every day. Nice Ugly, ruined another classic. Sad. Nice Trashy Pretty Trashy i could go on forever with dodges, dord powerstroke 250s, chevy 2500s, ect. Brand new modern 2020's trucks are the worst cause stock the bodies already so tall and the engine shoved so far into the fire wall i can't even reach the dipstick(im over 6ft tall) or see over the hood when driving now add a lift to that and its completely useless and you might as well drive blind folded. I dont mind muscle/perforstreet trucks tho those im ok with --- Post updated --- Yea the white wheels are already on their way out same with the exhaust tips same with the exhaust i have parts coming in to fix what past me had done. I bought i think they are h&r hub centric wheel spacers that im gonna a use with the stock wheels(im selling the white ones), im replacing the 20 dollar china exhaust tips with some nice OEM looking chrome ones, and im completely re doing my exhaust set up and its gonna be WAY quieter which im very much looking forward to. Then im gonna leave it alone and never touch it like i should have in the first place. The ONLY reason im driving this mazda is because it was my parents car and they surprised me one day out of nowhere and gifted to me. They got themselves into another car payment right after paying off the mazda cause my thundrbird was pretty much dead and they wanted me to have a safe reliable car. driving the mazda was not my plan I was planning to swap a new motor into my thunderbird and keep it. Because of this im obligated to drive this thing till the motor or trans quits. im very appreciative of what they did for me this is a reliable car that will in theory last me years. I really hate driving it tho. also the fuel pump died. the serpentine belt tensioner is leaking hydraulic fluid again, cv axles are gone, interior is cheaply made and has completely fallen apart despite me repeated attempts to fix it. So now im paying a few thousand to pay someone to fix it cause i dont wanna.
I agree. Technology is making people dumber than they are. I miss the days where you didn't require a phone for absolutely everything, including, as you say, scanning QR codes to even see the restaurant's menu. --- Post updated --- I mean, I don't mind lifted trucks, but they are too inconvenient for my liking; they don't have side steps and you have to climb over the truck and be like 300 centimetres tall/around 7'0" just to get in.
