help me i cant run beamNG

i cant Delete the folder but i will try the updater

 

For some reason you don't have permissions on your own computer. Download that new updater and run it on a folder in Desktop.

Can you copy some random file into the beamng folder in appdata or does it also tell you that you need permission?

 

Sounds to me that something is seriously fucked up on your windows installation if as an admin user you can't delete that folder.

I would do a malware scan to check malware hasn't taken control of your files.

hmm by the sounds of things, right now I'm worried about your computer rather than the game, I think somthing has gotten into your system, if your anti virus is not picking up things, somthing has gotten into the operating system, or you have came across a new glitch in windows, I am so confused right now.. you are admin, no viruses, can't delete or open files, try making a second account on your computer, then make it the new admin of the computer, then try and do it, I am so confused right now, I have never had this problem.

 

I know that norton itself is probably one issue.

 

The best program I have found so far to scan for malware is hitman pro, that you can find here:

It scans your computer, and send the results on the cloud of hitman pro users. Then the files are analyzed and checked with multple engines (a bit like virus total, but its not it. You can also add virus total in, by adding your api key) , plus you have the database of the hitman pro users as well. So if someone have the very same file you have, same hash etc, and he reported as malware, you will also have this file detected.

You are naturally free to quarantine, ignore or delete every results as usual.

It also run at boot time to clean up everything when it needs to.

Seriously, I never bought any anti virus or malware app in the past, and this is the first and only I've bought, and I never had any antivirus either.. they are all crap anyway. One will report a file, the other won't, another will report another backdoor in the same file, bla bla bla... if you develop good browsing habits and don't visit obscure sites, you don't reallly need to worry about this.

As for the game itself, I assure you it works, I just purchased it yesterday, uninstalled the demo, installed the .drive one, it detected an update avail on first launch, I updated it, remapped my controls, and off I was driving!

Make sure UAC is turned off as well, even if you are admin, and have UAC turned on, you arent running things as admin by default.

my pc is fine i run games like a pro eg bf 4, bf 3, need for speed rivals and thay run fine. my friend is having the same problem as me!

 

that you as an admin user do not have permission to delete a folder suggests that your PC is *not* fine
