The SBR uses double wishbone does it not? --- Post updated --- I haven’t tested and can’t until the suspension is in
last time I checked it used double wishbone in the front, but the rear uses a pushrod suspension setup
If he does go rear the route of the Toyota 86/BRZ suspension (same geometry as the earlier gen btw), there’s LOTS of reference for him to go off of. He might even be able to use some values from the Assetto suspension data to get exact positions in 3d space for arm mounts etc. Edit: also, it turns out it’s not multi link at the rear, it’s just standard double wishbone. Makes it even easier!
I’ve considered it like 15 times in the last couple weeks --- Post updated --- I managed to never even remember about the GR86 I’ll definitely look into that
I guess that’ll have to be figured out. In all the reference stuff I’ve seen, I’ve only seen the two wishbones. Wikipedia also says double wishbone.
I like the new design. The rear badging still looks a little awkward to me but its a lot better now Here's a revised design I made, sorry about the quality
More progress as I am now completely just getting on with this- Vent guide (it is now asymmetrical) Radiator (80% custom) Airbox, battery, washer fluid reservoir, fuse box and coolant tank piping exits…. Intake pipe mounting inside the vent guide Airbox in more detail Front bumper back Rear bumper back Rear fog lights And how it is in game The suspension is done except models and anti-roll bars, the engine is in and I’m just getting the little extra details done right now- next I think I’ll be jbeaming the airbox/intake piping The whole car is going really well right now, I’ll be unwrapping and packing it’s textures soon I am also subtly changing the car’s internal lore, with new trim names, a power decrease and new years (2020-2024/5 instead of 2022-2026.)
