Theo, don't listen to the haters. I've been on here for a long time and this is by far the most quality mod I've ever seen. This is more advanced than most of the vanilla vehicles. Great work man!
Firstly I'd like to say that this mod is fabulous and the amount of detail makes the paid mods look like highway robbery which I applaud. Secondly, I'd also like to say that I do have a few nitpicks unfortunately. I'm not sure if anybody else here noticed but the CCF weighs quite a lot being a sizeable roadster compared to it's real life-ish counterparts. The weight of a base CCF is already 2710 lbs, and even without all the bracing and other non essentials (cladding, etc), the lowest it can go down is to 2500-ish lbs, the range of PRHT NC Miatas. Not sure if it's supposed to weigh that much, but considering the references towards a Miata clone, I'd say that it almost fails in that department. Also, while handling is rather subjective, I do feel like the FFB on the stock configuration cars feels rather disconnected compared to any of the developer made cars. I get a good turn in on a curvy road, but on corner exits, the car feels really wobbly almost? it's almost like the car is wanting to continue to add input even though I clearly direct it to go straight, so in order to continue straight, I have to turn the wheel slightly the opposite way on corner exits to counter (and no, I am not talking about oversteer, just spirited driving). Some suspension tuning on my end remedied some of it, but it just had that mind of its own feel to it and I never got rid of it. I don't own a Miata, but I've driven 3 so far (all NAs, 2 on coils, 1 stock), all felt direct, and while the stock Miata did have quite the body roll, it's still precise and goes exactly where I want the car to go wherever I point the steering wheel. Maybe I didn't drive them hard enough, I don't know, but using the dev cars as a comparison, I genuinely do feel like it could be improved. I'm sure someone else has mentioned the things above, but I thought I'd just give my two cents in trying to help give feedback on things that I noticed from the get go. Aside from that, I am in love with the car and I'm sure that the community can agree that it is one of the best releases this year .
Whyyyyy did the mod have to release JUST on the first day of my trip to Kangaroo Island??? Whyyyyy??? Anyways, now that I'm back from said trip, WOOOO YEAH IT'S ALL COMING TOGETHER BABY Congrats Theo and Finn! You two are truly legends of the BeamNG modding community and I'm super stoked to try out this mod! Oh, and happy (very late) birthday!
If I may ask, will any of these configurations be added to the remastered CCF? Also, will the remastered CCF have the same features the original CCF has (functioning radio, cornering lights), and will there still be a Procyon rebadge of this car? Whatever the answers are to those three questions, I can say this much: You and your relative Finn both pour your hearts into every mod you create, and it shows in the vehicles you two release! This community is very grateful to have creators as dedicated as you! I wish you two all the best with all your endeavours and a happy new year! Keep up the great work!
The race ones are already there, not sure what the italian one is. And the Procyon rebadge will come out around a week after the base mod, so I’d say give it a few more days.
Isn't the Vela much more than a rebadge? Some argue that the Rayonner is more than a rebadge, so calling Vela such is a bit bold.
It's more than just a rebadge, another design, retractable hardtop like on MX-5, another wheels and more luxurious than base ccf
Lads, I’ve tried this mod tonight and I am beyond surprised with it. It’s surpassed every expectation, and I love the handling. I’ve made a driving compilation with it which I’ll upload soon, this thing is really chuckable and my favourite Beam vehicle to drive!
Oh man... you're absolutely right. After watching the videos of the Vela's progress on Youtube, I fully agree with you. The incoming Procyon will be much more than just a rebadge. Sorry for the poor choice of words. --- Post updated --- The car at the center is the stanced config, with the unique livery. To its right are the Japanese Police configuration and the Hirochi Rally Team variant, and to its right are the hillclimb edition of the eCCF2 and a custom model called the GBF2.
wouldn't it make more sense... to be patient? January is literally in a few days, i think we can all wait for it
I know this might be little off topic but on Theo's profile it says that he's working on the "Vermuelen T9". there are no postings of anything else so i'm kind of curious and will be happy if i get more information. (the CCF Remaster is awesome Btw and was worth the wait.) --- Post updated --- also got another question, what does CCF stand for?
Coupe Convertible (or Compact Convertible), Front-engined (not sure) Just from my memory Also, interesting find.
I’ve been using this car everyday since it came out, probably gonna change my default vehicle to it. And when those to happen, it means it’s a car I really like. It’s fun to just drive around recklessly when I’m bored. It’s just absolutely amazing, and the fact that there’s still the vela plus probably a hundred extra mods waiting for approval is just crazy. Great job, and when I say this, I really mean it!!!
